nope, thats just it - it gets you piss drunk and does a good job of it because of its high alcohol concentration. i had enough absinthe to keep me puking for a while that night, and i wasnt tripping at all. i was just plain drunk

edit: i'm talking about the absinthe that you can buy at liquor stores here in canada, i never tried the european stuff, so i wouldent know if thats any different. that being said, absinthe is fucking EXPENSIVE here, 100$ per a small bottle. i would just stick with everclear if i wanted to get drunk off a little booze, and of course (my fav) tequila.
