The machine a pink floyd tribute band.

    The doors without jim.

I prefer music that isn't concert form to be honest.

No, no nooooo!!! Live music is so much better than the canned studio stuff. Assuming, of course, that the band actually has talent. There's just so much more feeling and realness when it's live.

Oh well, each to his own.

I haven't been to very many, but the ones I have been to were good. They'd have been better if I weren't a bit crowd-phobic:

    The Eagles
    Fleetwood Mac
    Chicago
    Santana
    The Rolling Stones
    Neville Brothers
    Linda Rondstadt
    Heart
    Willie Nelson
    Dixie Chicks
    Nora Jones

    Also,
    The Dallas Symphony
    New York Philharmonic
    London Philharmonic
    Boston Symphony
    National Symphony

    Concerts You've Been To

This is a great thread! It's really taking me back to some of the good times I've had at shows. Nothing beats live music! I'll try to list these in roughly chronological order.

Pink Floyd (Division Bell tour, sophomore year is HS, before I ever did any kind of drug, still the absolute best show I've seen)
    Hootie and the Blowfish
    White Zombie x2
    Metallica
    Pantera
    Ozzy Osborne
    Filter
    Rob Zombie
Moby (the man is a dynamo onstage)
    Bush (they blew)
    Dave Matthews Band x3
    Umphree's McGee
    Dirty Dozen Brass Band
Bonnaroo 1 and 4: highlights included Particle, moe., Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd (amazing), John Prine (best show of both my 'Roos), and Modest Mouse
    Keller Williams
    The Big Wu
    Yonder Mountain String Band
    moe.
Dell McCoury with Allison Krauss and Vince Gill
    O.A.R.

Looking at this list makes me think two things:

    1. There are some bands I really, really want to see that I haven't: most notably Coldplay, Radiohead, and Beck.

    2. THANK GOD METAL WAS JUST A PHASE!
\"Besides, Floyd smoked the second page of the letter.\"
