i have to think about the volume of medium i will be using. I will be using close to 60 gallons of the stuff. Thats getting expensice. Is the hydroton reusable?
dusto2k3 Reviewed by dusto2k3 on . Transplanting Alright, so I have like 30 clones in RW now. I plan on transplanting them as soon as I figure some things out with a little help from some friends. So i am gonna do a sog in peatmoss/perlite in these pots. Are the pots too big to go into straight from clones? Rating: 5

Hydroton... more appropriate for a flood-and-drain application. They only hold moisture for so long and need to be flooded at least 2 or 3 times a day. I would not use them in a hand-watered app.
yeah its reusable...
wait until you see how much you have to pay for shipping!!!!

ok, im hand watering. The stuff is available for pickup. I live close to the link of the cocotek bricks. I think I'm gonna have to go with coco because of the cost/volume ratio.

Stinky, did you have any cents on my original question. Putting well rooted clones straight into the 2gal buckets? Are the pots too big.

Oh durrr I totally forgot...
Yes. Yes they are too big.
Rooted clones can go into approximately 1 Litre pots and be happy for their veg time...once they hit a foot tall and bushy it's time to get them into a new larger home.
