Bush considers US force expansion
Just in time for the invasions of Iran and Syria.
Draft time!!

US President George W Bush is considering a short-term increase in the size of the US force in Iraq, the White House has confirmed.
In a newspaper interview, Mr Bush also said he planned to expand the size of the military to deal with the broader, long-term fight against terrorism.
The new Defence Secretary Robert Gates has been asked to assess the idea.
On Monday, the Pentagon said violence in Iraq was at its highest since the country regained sovereignty in 2004.
'The broader struggle'
A temporary deployment of extra troops in Iraq was "something that's being explored" as Mr Bush considers his strategy on Iraq, White House spokesman Tony Snow said.
Mr Bush said his decision to increase the size of the armed forces was not just in response to Iraq, but to the broader struggle against Islamic extremists worldwide.
"I'm inclined to believe that we do need to increase our troops - the Army, the Marines," Mr Bush said in an interview with The Washington Post.
The president gave no estimates on how many troops might be added but said he agreed with Pentagon and Capitol Hill officials that the current military is being stretched too thin.
The US currently has about 140,000 troops in Iraq.
"I talked about this to Secretary Gates and he is going to... come back with a recommendation to me about how to proceed forward on this idea," Mr Bush said.
The president said he has not yet made a decision about a new strategy for Iraq, which he is expected to announce next month.
'Unvarnished views'
Attacks on US and Iraqi troops and civilians reached their highest level since Iraqi sovereignty was restored in June 2004, a Pentagon report said on Monday.
It said the number of attacks had risen to almost 1,000 a week, with the worst violence in Baghdad and the western province of Anbar, long the focus of activity by Sunni insurgents.
The report came just hours after the new US defence secretary said failure in Iraq would be a "calamity" that would haunt the US for many years.
Mr Gates spoke after taking his oath of office as the new US defence secretary, replacing Donald Rumsfeld.
He said Iraq was his top priority, adding that he would soon visit the country to hear the "unvarnished" views of US commanders on how to improve matters.
Mr Gates also vowed not to let Afghanistan become "a sanctuary for extremists" again.Great Spirit Reviewed by Great Spirit on . I've heard rumors that the naval fleet is already on its way over. Scary times are ahead of us.
White House Refuses Comment on Iran Report
By Paula Wolfson
White House
19 December 2006
The Bush administration says it will not comment on reports it is considering a naval build-up off the coast of Iran. The reports began to surface as Iranian leaders vowed to defy any international sanctions relating to Tehran's nuclear ambitions. VOA's Paula Wolfson has more on the story.
News organizations in the United States are quoting unnamed defense department officials as saying the Pentagon is considering a buildup of U.S. Navy forces in the Gulf.
When asked about the reports, Bush administration spokesmen refused direct comment.
At the Pentagon, spokesman Brian Whitman said the navy moves ships when necessary, but does not talk about specific moves, plans and contingencies.
Tony Snow
White House press secretary Tony Snow sounded a similar theme.
He said, "We do not comment on tactical moves, reported or otherwise."
Snow was asked if the administration might try to use a military buildup to send a message to Tehran that its support for extremists in neighboring countries must stop, and its uranium enrichment activities must cease.
"Let there be no mistake what our position is toward the Iranians," he said. "But again, when it comes to describing any ongoing military activity, you bet it is not something that I am going to do."
There is already one American aircraft carrier in the region, the USS Dwight David Eisenhower. It arrived a few months ago, part of a flotilla sent to the area to support operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
At about the same time, the United States led a six-nation naval training exercise aimed at blocking the smuggling of nuclear weapons in the Gulf.
Although it has never ruled out military action, the Bush administration has been putting the focus on diplomacy in its efforts to change Iran's behavior.
Negotiations are under way with members of the U.N. Security Council on a possible sanctions package designed to convince Iran to suspend uranium enrichment, which can produce nuclear fuel for civilian or military purposes.
Iran claims it is pursuing the technology for peaceful purposes, to meet the nation's energy needs. But the United States and many of its allies stress Iran has large oil reserves, and wants to build a nuclear arsenal.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that U.N. sanctions would not stop his country from pursuing its uranium enrichment program. He warned Britain, France and Germany that Tehran will consider their support for sanctions to be an act of hostility. However, he did not say exactly how Iran might retaliate.

I don't know why you claim it will be a "false flag". There really is allot of hatred there for Israel and its supporters. These people are very able to attack without inside help. Todays war is far from anything we have fought before. No longer do we fight shoulder to shoulder firing muskets from 20 feet away. No longer are the days of trench warfare. Todays enemy wears no uniform or carries any military identification. They blend in and jump when they see there opportunity. They too exploit a weakness to take advantage just like many conspiracies will have you believe about your "shadow government".
I think this build up which is claimed to be support for Iraq is a cover for an Iran invasion? Bush went all out over Iraq without much support and I think he will do it again with Iran. With or without a major terrorist attack.

Come on GS answer me why we would need a fake attack to go against Iran? With there past actions and comments it would get support easier than Iraq did.

we ran into trouble scanning for oil
the whole Middle East is coming to a boil
Its the Muslims and Kurds, Bedouin herds
Palestinians and Arabs and Jews in the news
There's so much to keep up wiith it will jangle your head
and the whole situation is running way in the red
I was born in America and i'm proud of that fact
I wish the rest of the world would get off our back
but these slick politicians man you've got to admit
seem crazy as bedbugs and they dont give one whit
about the family on the street with their back to the wall
who cant find a quarter for to make a phone call
meanwhile back in washington champagne will flow
tell that to a homeless man with no where to go
the rich corporations have turned a deaf ear
they dont care who goes hungry they made that much clear
you see the trouble with people is that we want to believe
that they cant turn a profit without tricks up their sleeve
Its the roofers and the truckers and working class suckers
its the firmemen and nurses, soldiers and teachers who
shoulders the blows it comes and it goes its a
six trillion dollar debt that you pay through the nose
East Timors genocide to the core
the Indonesian legions come and gives'em what for
When the coalition army doesnt come to your aid
you may as well face it there's no money to be made
I had a dream last night i was secretart of defence
and i came to the conclusion war doesnt make any sense
but nobody heard me when i tried to rescind it
there were too many people who didnt want to end it

So you say America can not afford another war unless its started by an inside attack? Which would cost more money and lives. Iran may have the right to nuclear technology for peaceful and medical use but these people do not show there competent enough to control such a power. They also have every right to solar and wind power as well. Not everything is a conspiracy. Just because something strays slightly from logic does not always mean it was conspired. Sigman Froid said "Sometimes an apple is just an apple"
Let me ask you have you ever seen the inside of a building prewired for demolition? Do you understand the time to plan a control demo of 2 hugh skyscrapers? The manpower needed to set it up and pull it off? We are talking about hundreds if not thousands of people. Not one has spoken up about there actions? Come on, even the mafia had its snitches.
I used to believe these stories a few years ago but pissplanet does its own job of discrediting itself and cause. And if the US government wanted to turn into a tyranny whats with the hold up? Why not just do it instead taking there time? Why are people like Alex jones, Howard Stern and other people who speek out against there own government not already political prisoners?

To conclude...
IMO, other nations in the world would be foolish to leave their security and well fare up to america.
The only nation who deserves such weapons/technology are nations that have used them in the past?
We are in the backyards of nations worldwide, imo, to rip off their resourses via use of military, sanctions, or causing instability in the region.
Lets equal it out and build a few dozen foreign military bases in our backyard to capture the real feeling others are feeling, instead of being told how to feel.
Our government cant even tell the truth about a plant. Dont expect much truth about anything else from them.

Iran saying they want to remove Israel while its working on a nuclear fuel cycle is like me going into a gun shop and while selecting my gun I tell the dealer "I want to eliminate my neighbor".
Yes I do believe our government puts its hand in other countries business that it shouldn't be in. We fought off the British before here in America for there rule over us. Yet now we do the same thing to everyone else. Its only a matter of time before the rest of the world says enough is enough and gangs up against us. It is already starting with places like Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, N.Korria...
