feminized seeds?

OK, I harvested some of my lower branches to sample and there were two seeds....they looked very healthy and viable...I searched both my girls for any bananas and found none.... Several weeks ago power was out, no lights, no heat...temps dipped to around 50F.

Question: Can temperature swings coupled with a two day dark period 4 weeks into flowering cause the plant to seed on it's own? If so would these be feminized seeds?

That's a possibility man, its hard to catch all the male flowers especially on a plant in full flower. If the plant did pollinate itself, then yes, the seeds should be feminized, but you might want to be careful planting them. Seeds from a hermaphrodite are also prone to hermaphroditism. Normally feminized seeds are made by forcing a plant to go hermaphrodite using stress, if your plant hermied w/o much effort, that is a trait that may be passed on.

I had 2 hermis out of 4 females this time around, so I'm gonna have lots of seeds. Oh well :jointsmile:

Well actually that was one one my questions.....Would the low temps and extended darkness account for enough stress?
