Scared of smoking with my friend.

He has some kind of heart condition since he was a kid. Anyways, his heart is pretty bad. He says he can't smoke or do any activities, because his heart is so bad.

He wants me to smoke with him.

I'm a little hesitant because of this because if he gets all paranoid that's going to fuck him up with his heart and crap.

    Suggestions?

That sounds mighty risky to me. I wouldn't smoke with him or encourage him to do so. If he says he can't smoke or do any activities because of his heart, that's not a good sign. I'm curious why if he says he can't smoke (or perhaps you're meaning cigarettes here), he's interested in smoking weed?

Look at it this way. We don't know the details of this kid's heart condition. But some of them can be bad. (The worst of congenital heart defects are generally fixed when people are babies or they don't make it to the teenage years or adulthood, but still, you never know. There are all sorts of arrhythmias and murmurs and valve problems people can have.) Weed smoking does indeed put strain on the heart. Probably it's less the weed itself than the action of smoking. It raises the heart rate and increases people's risk for heart attacks, arrhythmias, and strokes. But that's usually only a temporary increased risk. Still, with someone who has a heart condition--especially a mysterious one--why risk it? And if you did, what if something bad did happen? Seriously, would you want to play a role in risking that or being liable if something awful did happen? Would you want to be the one trying to give CPR or call 911?

If the kid is determined to try weed, he probably needs to eat it or vape it instead. And if he insists on smoking it, don't give it to him and don't participate in the process, either. Tell him you don't want to take that risk. Do a Google search on cannabis and heart attack risk and show him what you find.

Totally agree. There is to much to lose if something bad happens. Most importanly your friend. I wouldn't give it to him or even encourage him. Fact i'd try to explain him how serious it could be and tell him why you don't want to. Be a good friend and not risk it. atleast that's my take

    hi,
have u turned the request around?
let me give you some info 1st. my husband is my best friend he has ptsd from a bad surgery. he is disabled and that has caused several health problems not to mention the meds that they try to "fix" everything with. hope this gives u an idea of what is going on.
whenever he asks me to do something that i feel might be detrimental i always ask him to turn it around and look at it from my point of view. not that i'm being a pussy for not doing it but "hey if this were in reverse how would u feel?" do you have any info on what it might do to you and how i would feel if i did damage to u? i always try to bring the "big picture" out and if he has a hard time seeing it point out that it is just like a puzzle sometimes u think u have the right piece but find out later that the piece u needed was almost exact to the one picked.
YOU are NOT a pussy for standing up for what u believe in or for protecting a friend. friends are few and far between.
ask your friend "if u were me and i was you and i asked u to do something that might hurt me would u do it?"
    hope this helps
