Why do we let ourselves get screwed in UK???

    Hi,

Okay, so there's all this sandy weed hanging around andpeople are bitching about it. There's also the ever present soarbar. So my question is "Why do we put up with it?"

Soapbar is PRIMARILY made for the UK market and its as rare as hen's teeth over in europe and unknown in the US or Canada. Its got all sorts of SHITE processed into it and is truly a cancer causing peace of petrolium crap that should'nt be smoked at all by any of us. But still we buy it and smoke it and then wonder what the fuck's happened to our ability to breath. I stopped buying soap about 5 months ago and won't buy another gram ever again!!! I'll pack it in for good before I support those robbing bastards that make and sell this SHITE!

I remember years ago in the UK we could get temple-ball, indian charas, polm, keif, afghani, squidgie black but now we get soap-bar. And, yes, I know that some of you will go on about how you can get anything you like where you are. Well, lucky for you! The majority of hash in this country is shite soap-bar!!

Now we're putting up with this shitty old sandy crap!

We smoke more weed than any other place in Europe, so how come its a sellers market and not the other way round?

Any way just my :twocents: worth!

    Peace,

    Fr33kMan

PS: What can we do to improve the situation? Apart from growing your own which is the obvious answer and something I've started myself.

the only way we can stop this is buy ourselves because the government don't give a shit.

You simply have to go with out and tell your dealer you aint gonna buy dusted green and if enough people tell there dealers they don't want this shit

then the dealers will only buy proper green of there suplliers because no one wants the dusted green therefore they wont make any money of the gritty weed.

    Hi there all,

Great site here if you have not seen it. Wish we could get all that around here.

    http://www.smokersguide.com/sg/Smoke...dark=50&weed=0

I have been blowing for about 27 years, and in the 1980??s here in S Wales all we could get was what we called red leb, not sure if it was, Lebanon Red, Red Lebanese, and some bush, and once in a blue moon we would get what we call black, the real soft stuff, like you can roll it into a long thin snake and put in a joint like that, with the leb we would laugh all night, could not stop, those were the days, but all we have been getting for the last 15 years is what we call rocky, must be the same stuff your on about, but it??s cheap about 40 to 50 pound an ounce, in the 80??s it was 120 pounds per ounce, funny this blow is the only thing that has got cheaper in the years.

But for the last 8 week or more there is nothing about, and in all my years it has never been like this, you can get some bush but that??s going for 140 an ounce, but not there is some solid just come in called slate, have not tried it yet.

We used to get Slate in Northern Ireland - it was well shite. Over in England now (or at least where I am), they're trying to call it Pollen. What a laugh. I've smoked decent Pollen a few times and it really rocks, but this stuff is cak. The only decent thing about it is it does not have as much plastic and stuff as the Soapbar.
Rocky, or Soapbar used to be quite good (at least you could get stoned on it), but now it's all crap and really filled with bad things. I've not been buying the stuff for about 3 months now, but since the drought hit things have been going from bad to worse. Hence I now grow.

As above, the only way to stop it is don't buy it, but when that's all you can get it's well hard. Thanks fu3k I've got enough decent stash to do me over till the New Year.

I have a feeling the government will start giving a shit eventually, but only because of the strong tobacco laws that are coming in. If people stop smoking tobacco, or cut well down, I would say the government will open up the debate of licencing shops to sell weed as they do now for beer and spirits. Tax is everything for those fu3kers, and they could tax weed to the hilt. The good thing about this, is that your dealer would have to offer you better deals, or better weed, to make you still buy from him.
When that's going to happen though is anyones guess.

So your finding it hard to get things in England, what part of England, just area no need to say town, as I thought it was just down here, wow things must be bad, never heard of it like this in all my smoking years, well not for so long anyway.

Yes I wonder if they will one day sell it in shops, but the thing about the tobacco laws that are coming in is that it gets more people smoking,

Cigarette sales up 5% in Scotland despite smoking ban

Smoking Prevalence Falling Too Slowly in New Zealand,

    http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/GE0612/S00091.htm

    And Ireland,

    http://www.otc.ie/chart.asp?image=fig_1.1.jpg

I would like to run some numbers and prove that smoking bans kill far more, and I like you do not like to see people dieing, when they need not.

(PLEASE NOTE THE CHART HAS NO (1/1/05)

This chart is updated every 6 months, and the ban started 1/3/04,

So lets run some numbers, the population of Ireland is 400000,

Numbers of smokers the day of the ban 1/3/04 was, 23.1% = 924000.

Six months after the ban the number of smokers were still 23.1% = 924000 on 1/11/04.

Six months later the number of smokers were ??up? to 23.7% = 948000 on 1/9/04.

Six months later the number of smokers were down to 22.8% = 912000, on 1/4/05.

Six months later the number of smokers were ??up? to 25.8% = 1032000, on 1/10/05,

Six months later the number of smokers were ??up? to 26% = 1040000, on 1/4/06.

The latest figure on the chart is only four months but I will be un-biased and put it in 22.9 = 916000, which is down from the date of the ban, but this is ??no? surprise as there has been a natural decline in the population of Ireland and the whole UK in the last 30 years, which I like to call the natural selection, like in Darwin??s theory.

Natural decline in the smoking being slowed down.

Ok let??s run some more numbers working on the above chart for Ireland, and find out how the smoking bans have slowed the natural decline in the smoking habits of the people.

From the start of the Irish population smoking prevalence chart to the date on the Irish smoking ban,

From date the chart started, 1/7/02, 25.9% = 1036000 people smoked, and to the date of the ban the natural decline in people smoking went down to 23.1% so in 18 months the natural decline in people smoking went from 25.9% to 23.1% down by 2.8%, or 1036000 ?? 924000 = 112000 less people smoking in 18 months or 6222 less people smoking per month, BUT AFTER THE BAN, and in 27 months the natural decline in people smoking is just 0.2%, that??s point 2%, less of the population smoking, or 8000 less people smoking or 285 less people smoking per month.

Not sure about this bit, anyone better at maths,

Ok let??s work out what the natural decline should actually be too at this date, there should be working on the 2.8% number, take this number from the 23.1% that was the percentage of people smoking in Ireland on the date of the ban, there should now be at least only 19% of the people smoking, and that??s being ??very? conservative, or about 760000 people smoking, but there are 916000, a difference of 156000, more people smoking than there should be, because of the ban.
