Don't care much for that capital print thing but I guess that's how ya make a point. LOL

This is a far cry from what we were STUCK with in Nam. We have been actively working on and restoring their infrustucture.......where in Nam did this happen? Cities having their power, water, and sewer upgraded to the times.....which cities in Nam did this happen in?

Have a good one!
They say it's all in the details however the similarity I suggest is much simpler than you are making it (as I said "deliberately obtuse") the similarity is IT IS AN UNWINNABLE WAR ! nothing more nothing less.

The similarity is in the fact that just like when America thought it could HELP ??? it made things worse and exactly the same has happened in Iraq.
The US didn't think it would have too much trouble with the gooks (sorry to any Vietnamese) and they thought the towelheads (sorry Arabs) would be a push over too, they were wrong on both counts.
Forget military casualties and count the TOTAL cost and Iraq is certainly worse off than before we (US/UK) interfered, American soldiers being brought up on charges of rape and murder, could that even be possible if the US hadn't gone there?

Your claims hold nothing if people are more fearful now than they were before they were "rescued" (????) , bombings in Baghdad are commonplace , the country is seriously divided, how is that better ??
