WHEN TO HARVEST / YIELD ESTIMATES !!!
Hello everyone. I had been posting on another thread but no one ever seems to answer my questions there. So maybe a new thread with the subject being the question will help.
Here is the current state of my plant. Tomorrow is day 28 of 12/12 but it was showing the pre flowers for maybe 3-5 days before I went for the 12/12.
I just want to know when I should harvest? I thought it was around day 50 but I know it's different for every plant. Does my plant look like it's getting there?
Once the "golf balls on a tee" have formed, how long does it take for the THC to go from clear to cloudy? This way I can estimate how long I should wait. I don't want amber, so I need a pretty exact estimate.
As well, for fun, any yield estimates?
If you click on the photos you can see a pretty detailed view of the crystals and how many buds are on the whole plant. I'd say between 20-30.
I'm hoping not to harvest until the new year, this way I get more BUD!!!!MMMMMM!hairyboblovesthemob Reviewed by hairyboblovesthemob on . WHEN TO HARVEST / YIELD ESTIMATES !!! Hello everyone. WHEN TO HARVEST / YIELD ESTIMATES !!!
Hello HAIRY!
Very NICE..
it will take at 7 weeks..... of 12/12 to get you buds RIPE
YOU NEED to add as MANY CFLs as possible NOW... and get them close..
Less than one inch from your foliage...
Get lights on the side of your plants too..
Your plants look GREAT.. the key is MORE LUMENS = MORE YIELD
If you keep the lights less than one inch from the foliage, you should get 2-3 ounces per plant.. SOUND GREAT huh?
Your pictures are NICE.. thanks

WHEN TO HARVEST / YIELD ESTIMATES !!!
gk is right, but for your timing q...
you DO want amber, even if your after the head high; if you don't have at least 15% amber, you're cutting too early... for a super couch, let it go to 70% amber...
for your cfl's, you need eight more... trust me, it's worth the hassle
love, kp;p

WHEN TO HARVEST / YIELD ESTIMATES !!!
Thank you for replying guys.
As far as lighting, I do have the lights on the sides of the plant. The plant is LST'd over and then more LSTing happend. The top of the plant is straight up so it's getting light to 90% of the buds.
Oh boy do I know all about the keeping the light 1 inch or less from the plant because at first I didn't and the plant was WAY stretched. (See pictures below for before and after.) I've learned so much from the board, I never would have been able to fix up my plant if everyone wasn't telling me to LST it. I've burned the plant a few too many times keeping the light too close (it grows overnight literally, right into the light.)
I do need more lighting, I'm afraid to light my damn closet on fire! I've got 8 lights on them, I think I'll try and invest in about 4-6 more. I just don't know if the plugs can handle it!
So 7 weeks, that's all I wanted to know. We're starting week 4. Now I can tell everyone to stop bugging me about it and give them a due date. Thanks!

WHEN TO HARVEST / YIELD ESTIMATES !!!
I would invest in a 250W HID light instead of having 16 cfl sulbs hanging all over the place, but if that's all you can get then the more the merrier. You won't draw that many amps so don't worry about starting a fire. I would get a power bar or two to make plugging in the timer easier.
I doubt you'll get 6 dry ozs without a HID. Look for 3-4 ozs dry if you add the extra light, around 2oz if you don't.
Let us know the results.

WHEN TO HARVEST / YIELD ESTIMATES !!!
Take your time with this my man. It's done when it's done. It always pays off:jointsmile:
Not sure where you got your strain from, but some of what i would call lower quality seed would discribe harvest around "x time", but could go abit longer.
I honestly think the same could be said for anytype of seed.
I'd just hate to see ya count down 50 days and then have at it. thats all

WHEN TO HARVEST / YIELD ESTIMATES !!!
True. Well I always thought I wouldn't be able to tell male from female, I was worrying and worrying and then all of a sudden it was so easy to recognize. I figure that when the time comes to harvest, I'll be able to see what's going on just fine. So I'll listen to the 7 weeks idea but I think I'll wait it out longer if I think need be.
As far as lighting, I'm almost at the end and I just can't put anymore money into this, although 8 more lights wouldn't be too much, a whole new lighting system would be. I doubt I'll be growing much in the future, although I imagine I'll be having postpartum depression when I harvest and I'll have to start a new plant. If that's so, I'll invest in better lighting like you said. I didn't even think I'd get an ounce out of this so 2 ounces sounds like heaven to me. I do have a power strip, I just always imagine the bulbs will swing into each other, break and the whole closet will be up in flames. But that's just paranoia.
And before anyone else calls me "man" or "bud" or "bob" let me just say I'm actually a girl. When making the name for this I just chose the first thing that came to mind. Maybe I should have picked a girl name, hah!

WHEN TO HARVEST / YIELD ESTIMATES !!!
I believe I am harvesting around the 9th, but I still can't tell, I know there shouldn't be a set date, so I'm just wondering what I should look for to know when it is ready. Is everything going alright? Does it seem like these are ready ASAP or should I be waiting? I want to harvest at the best time, not too early, not too late.
Please look at the photos I'm attaching, they are really great quality photos so hopefully you'll be able to tell how my plants are doing.
Let me know ASAP please.

Hello Hairy KNOB...
looks nice..
how are your fan leaves.. usually the fan leaves will turn yellow and fall of in the final weeks of a plants life...
can I see a wide shot?
easy up on the nutrients... the brown tips lof your leaves is a sign of nutrient burn.
