Yes, but members can benefit from more than one section of this site. For instance, when I first came here, I posted in the experience section alot, but as time went on, I spent most of my time in the growing section. You can learn quite a lot from all of the sections.

As far as the argument that this is a just a weed site, then why do we have a multimedia section for original music, art, etc? Why are threads aloud in the current events section that have nothing to do with Cannabis? We're aloud to talk about Britney and "K-Fed" (things that have no relevance to the majority of us personally) but not other "psychotropics"?

If "Other Psychotropics" is never, ever going to come back, then perhaps allowing the talk of other psychotropics in The Hobby Lounge? Experimenting with other substances is a legitimate hobby. Many people enjoy exploring and expanding their minds.

Psycho4Bud, you gave a good example regarding the infraction system, but I'm mainly talking about how when I open up the experience section I am greeted with thread after thread of salvia experiences, alcohol/marijuana experiences, and threads that just aren't even experiences. If there were a section where the talk was aloud, then when someone who wants to read Cannabis experiences, and is not yet a member so they don't have the search features, they can rest assured that the experiences in the Experience section on Cannabis.com will be cannabis experiences only.

Hey, I can see your points and there was a time when my body and mind was younger that I probably would have felt the same way. Been there, done that, and that, and that, and a few more of those lets say.....hehehe.

But as for the forum, somebody bought the site that does not want to be associated with that, or that, or a few of those probably for good cause. It's real hard to say these days where the liability starts and stops regarding this type of thing. If someone could pull a law of some sort that would give this site COMPLETE amnesty in which case some dumb kid decided to punch to much or snort his way into a coma then maybe. But I really doubt that is the case. It don't even have to come in the way of direct charges but possible claims in a civil court who knows how much cash.

I can see some "concerned" parent filing a multi-million dollar lawsuit against cannabis.com if their lil' Billy happened to read on here that crack wasn't all that bad and ended up with a toe tag. Parents always look for answers in these cases as to "why" and if they happen to see this site with that sort of thing being posted they have their outlet for the anger issue.....

I REALLY doubt if that type of talk will ever be seen on here again. Other sites that allow it are basically playing Russian Roulette with their pockets. I personally enjoy this site and would hate to see it closed down.

I'm pretty disappointed also. I posted in the thread and was really looking forward to reading about the experience. Salvia has helped me a lot and many people don't consider the method I suggested, which offers a milder experience and doesn't scare people like the intensity of smoking an extract. It's like the difference between many hard drugs (extracts) and the plants they came from.

Horror Business, maybe you could post your experience with 'cannabis sativa' or just 'sativa'. I would be interested in that, if you catch my drift.

Psycho4Bud, I see your point, I never looked at it that way, and you're right, I could see some psycho parent trying to sue the site just over the fact that it promotes cannabis, so I see where you're coming from.

Unfortunately, there is a difference between people like me who like to experiment with drugs only after research, and preparation to expand and explore my mind and experience altered states, and the people who just like to get fucked up for the fun of it, without knowing the dangers, limits, or even what it is they're taking.

Because of the irresponsible ones, (and this is why drugs still aren't legal) some people stereotype all "hard"-drug users as worthless drug addicts, etc...

I thought that way too, until I found Erowid which helped expand my knowledge as well as my curiosity.

Snorbel, I tried it tonight, and it worked. I didn't have a negative experience at all. I don't want to say anymore than that, because I intend on writing a full experience tomorrow. It was really cool though, I've never hallucinated before today and it was way better and totally different than I expected it to be.
