IM WORRRRIED!!!!!!!!!
i took a hair test a week ago for a job and am wondering if i will pass.
I have done weed 4 times in my life and NEVER felt a high from it.
i did weed ( 1 hit from a bong) in early august and took a hair test decmeber 6th (a week and a half ago) the last time i did it before august was 10 months ago from now.
just wondering if i will pass and some of the detection times for a hair test.

I don't know much about tests but it seems like you would be fine.
Hell, if you can smoke and get caught 4 1/2 months later I might be fucked eventually too!

Not only will you fail but the feds will swoop in through your windows and put a bullet in your head for even thinking about doing weed.
You will probably pass.

Maroney, you need to read the drug testing info here at this erowid site. Very good info. Go to Plants & Drugs/Cannabis/Drug Testing. Also, I'll be moving this thread to our drug testing area.
http://www.erowid.org/
From what I've read, detection in hair can last for up to a year. But the thing is that when they take a hair sample, they rarely take more than the last three months' growth of hair, so even if you've smoked within the year, they're only going to look at the newest hair growth in the lab sample. If what I've read is correct, hair testing is fairly sensitive. One of our members, FakeBoobsRule, knows a lot about drug testing. I'm hoping he'll see this thread once I move it to the correct area and can comment further.\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

I thought with hair tests it shows up unless you shave your head. I'm not trying to freak you out but thats what I've always heard.

Thanks for the plug Birdgirl. They can detect drugs throughout the whole length of the hair but it becomes inaccurate after 90 days so in the U.S. anyway, the standard is only to go back at most 90 days or 1 and 1/2 inches of hair. They will mark the root end of the hair and at the lab cut it down to this length if it is longer than this. If they use body hair, they mark where they got it from and adjust the length based on the growth rates of that body hair, which is usually a little slower than head hair. To test positive, you must smoke 3 times or more during the last 90 days.
Napolitana, shaving your head will result in 3 things:
1) Using body hair
2) Using fingernail shavings
3) Failure do to refusal to submit sample.
I have actually answered this twice now for this new member!

really, i think i will pass, the job i'm getting is from Kraft foods, which makes handi-snacks and cheese if anyone knows that stuff. i have friends that have smoked that same month of the drug test, and still passed so i think i will pass, also does anyone know how long it takes to get it back from the lab? i just need some positive reinforcment
