Changing My lights..
Ok, I said in another thread, I was going to purchase another lamp.
I just recieved my 125w Compact Floro. Came with a nice HID type hood as well; the bulb is a 125 Daylight Bulb, full spectrum. Says can be used for flowering..
Ive hung this light just about 4 inches from the tops.. Im going to use it for vegging only, then switch back to my 400 HPS. Probably plan to veg a lil longer, considering I have quite some space and only three plants..
Just curious to what people think..
Thanks..

Is that lamp just for flowering? If so it may not be the best for veg.In the UK we have 125W envirolites. 2 types available one for flowering and one for veg.
When you go back to your HPS why not use the floro as well you could mount it lower than the canopy to hit the bottom of the plant

That would mean Id have to have my plants setting on something transparent or studs..
To complicating, however, I may put it on the side. As in, mount it along the wall.. That would work decent too right?
and I also tied one of my plants.. using paper clips, pulled some of the leaves to the stem to try and make some room for the small, lower branches..
Ill have pictures in a couple days..

yeah that would work fine saw a similar setup on a post somewhere (sorry dont remember where) It certainly seemed to help with the growth and development of the lower branches
