what's growing on my stem? pics included

this is my first grow. They've been veggin on 19/5 for 6 weeks (about). i had to take a trip for my company and my roommate didnt do to well taking care of them. not to mention i really have little clue to what i'm doing either.

anyway, i've been using PureBlend puregrow 30mL to the gallon. every 2-3 days. I dont have a ph meter but i ordered the soi test strips already.

they developed a knat problem so i got some Organocide http://www.groworganic.com/item_POP2...cideQuart.html

Hey man if you're just talking about those small bumps on the stem, thats nothin to worry about. They happen as the stem gets thicker and wood-like. Mine have that all over them, i like squished some to see what they were and it made my hand just straight stink like pot.

I'd be more worried about the yellow leaves than the stems. Looks like she might be needing some N? What you feeding her? Overall they look really healthy though, beautiful plants. Are those 5 gallon pots? Your plants really should start to explode soon, once they finish filling those pots with roots, they'll take off. Like a week or 2 after we transplanted to big pots like that they started to just grow like a weed lol. Stop by and check out the log in my signature, I'm a first timer

Oh, and welcome to the boards

just the pureblend puregrow. I don't know what else to give them.

i also dont have enough light in there; a 150w hps and 4 cfl's. I'm going to put together a 400w or 600w hps next week.

for sure i doubt it is any thing to worry about. I believe most pests breed in the soil or lay eggs under the leafs. Some of my plants have a bark like substace as the stems get really old.

and splifted, i've noticed you help out a lot on the plant problems.
good on you, I also try to do my part

The little bumps just above the medium are root nubs.

I"m not sure man, what is the NPK ratio of the pureblend puregrow? You might just not be feeding them enough, cause they look kinda light green, with the yellowest leaves being at the bottom. It looks mainly like a slight nitrogen deficiency. How often do you feed them? Also, here is a great link to help figure out exactly what is wrong. It has pictures of leaves with deficiencies, and tells you what they are and how to correct them, very helpful. Also, the faq it comes from covers a bunch of other stuff as well. Bookmark these, they helped me immensely in this first grow. That and the Indoor/Outdoor Bible by Jorge Cervantes was worth every penny of the 20 i spent on it. You can get it at your local barnes and nobel and I'd recommend it if this is your first grow, it covers everything with full color pics from seed to harvest to hash to breeding. Its like the instruction manual seeds should come with.

i agree, they are root nubs, had them on mine when i grew in soil. could be from it being to humid in the room.

If you notice the plant isnt planted up to the germination leafs, those spots are where you would have root growth if planted right up to the baby leafs,
