He has some doctorate degree in sociology, and I believe in psychology. However, with his countless bullshit weightloss books and whatnot, he is giving medical advice without having a medical doctor's license (he's one of those PhD doctors).

If he were a TRUE psychologist, open to talking about sensitive issues, he wouldn't have dismissed the guy off his show without giving him a chance to own up.

His audience then cheers like a flock of sheep, and Dr. Phil comes off as a pious good-standing moral gentleman. The Bum Fights creator is simply doing what works. If bums didn't want to fight for money, and he was forcing them to, it'd be an issue. Dr. Phil gets the child molestors and overweight Midwestern housewives on his show, and decries them for being lazy and self-indulgent, yet he is defending bums, who are willing to beat the shit out of each other for quick cash, like they are the 'victims.'

His son, Jay, wrote some retarded book for teens about self-esteem... The first few chapters ask the reader, whom we assume to be a typical American teen, "Are you tired of acting like a goody-two shoes Beaver Cleaver?" It only continues to surpass it's weak attempt at mainstream WASP morally goodness crap.

Dr.Phil is too much of a bully and he gives me this creepy feeling like he is another Foley....like he preaches one thing then behind closed doors he is completely different I don't know if it is true but that is the vibe I get from him and my intuition is usually right.

Oh that reminds me of a scary story....when I lived in Seabrook Texas I saw this beautiful Austin Healey sitting in this guys yard. It had been there rusting forever so I knocked on the door and this old man told me sure he might sell it and he asked me to come in to talk about it. He was so nice and like 70 years old but he made me uneasy but like a dumb ass I go into his house. I stayed close to the door thank God...becuase the entire house walls and ceiling were covered in foil and there were wires everywhere. He told me he had invented a chair that makes you feel good and gives you energy and he'd sell me the car if I'd sit in his chair. The chair had wires all over it and two pans with water that he said I was to put my feet in. I said no fucking way and ran out of there fast.

A few weeks later he and his house burned to the ground and they found 2 unidentified charred womens bodies in the back part of the house! Later they found out the women had been missing for quite a while.

OK sorry to take your thread but Dr. Phil gives me the same heebee geebees so I thought of that story and I just had to share it cause it still gives me chills today.

i hate doctor phil but that doesnt justify exploiting homeless people. half of them are mentally ill anyway so i wouldnt just say ultimately all they are motivated by is money. and dont get me wrong dr phil is a douche and i thought the little part about him eating oprahs disgusting pussy was really really funny it is one of the only things i have ever seen on this site that had me laughing out loud., but that doesnt excuse those guys for profiting off that shit. but really it is more the fault of the people who pay for it.

also yes i noticed the hypo;crisy of the publicity remark. all im saying is if you want to rip on dr phil the man has done a lot dumber things than this, like the commercial about the girl who has iq but not any guy q
