Thunderstorms and rain
The way my orange cat purrs like a buzz saw
My husband's breathing when he's asleep
The deep-down belly laughter of a toddler
A strange sound one of my dogs makes. It starts out as a yawn but then this silly, semi-howl comes out. Cracks me up. Very weird.
The water sound of small fountains
The sound my cats' and dogs' ears make when they shake their heads very quickly. Almost sounds like birds' wings beating, but it's flopping ears.

I love these threads... they're less of a personal thing and more of a recollection of all the things that all humans love.

not any particular sound, but i love deep booming lows... the kind that hold that same pitch for a few seconds and it makes everything rattle, like when there's a thunderstorm outside and it's pretty much just right above you and you're gettting the worse of it... movies, games, music, ect ect... doesn't matter where the deep booming low comes from, i like it and i dunno why.

if i were gonna try and guess at it, i would say it's psychological, and it probably either has something to do with me being a loner/shy never wanting to be around people [i dont' know] i repress the urge to stand out for so long, that i want to make loud, attention drawing noise to do just the opposite of what i normally do, which is avoid attention... or it could be me being angry at not having a mother/father growing up, could be that i grew up in a family that's constantly yelling and the loudness is somehow now soothing....

i dunno i just think it's really weird to like a noise like that...

My most favorite sound of all would have to be the sound of the wind howling but I also enjoy the sounds of the beach, a gentle rain on the roof (accompanied by a thunder storm off in the distance is a plus), the distant tatter of a train on the train tracks (minus the horn) and children singing in a choir.

i enjoy various random noises such as bubblegum baloon pops, ripping clothes, wooden floor squeeks, the motors of an airplane, thunder, skateboard pops, voices in my head.

a cool thing about sounds is that sometimes (oftentimes might i add), some sort of rhythm is supporting the noises. What I mean by that is that often when you're outside in nature or even at a busy mall, all the noises form melodies, and beats, etc. needless to say, this phenomenon is a lot funner to be aware of when one is heavily stoned. :stoned:

also crackling fire, ocean waves hitting fat rocks by the beach, the noise of raging winds of a storm outside...when you're inside and its safe, yet not fully trustable, ya know. thats one of my favorites fo show.
