are you looking for credible info or just info... cause honestly if you try to speak intellectually or professionally about marijuana and start siting things from homemade pot head pages, it won't go over well.

there was a huge report done by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) in 1999 that was government funded. try to see people shoot that source down. if look it over it talks about high majority of people never experience any addiction, etc. When you quote from this source it will illicit respect for your stance as opposed to saying "my buddy on my pot forums said that marijuana doesn't...." ya know?

anyway that is the site to find things to back your story... look through it as it has pro's and con's... this is from a medical marijuana perspective but the info can carry to your arguement. also, try www.procon.org it is great cause it is nonpartisan and that is important for this topic.

good luck! remember to not pretend like there are not potential negative effects related, but that all things have potential negative effects... someone bashes you for smoking cause it causes cancer, ask them about the processed sugars they eat and all the tanning booths pumping out cancer! it is about moderation!

ps: the study is pretty wordy, but if you skip to the intro and conc, you will be able to get the gist of it. basically, they concluded that weed works better at preventing and helping the progression of AD than any prescription med out there.
