Jesus is the Spirit so anyone with his Spirit knows him. He revealed himself in the garden of Eden to Adam and Eve when he made them coats of skins. They had tried to cover themselves with their own works but it took blood shed to get the coats of skin. God revealed salvation to them. Christians believe in Christ. Christ is from the beginning. What religion goes back that far?

    Adam was a christian.
Jesus is the Son of God.
Rock on! Eternaty is a pretty long time to be forever seperated from the only True God of the bible. Guess that's a choice some people are content with.

I was going to really pick apart this post, but I dont want to offend anyone, so I'll leave it at this:

Judeo-Christianity goes back 6-8 thousand years (somewhere around there). History shows Hinduism to predate this by a large amount of time, and animistic religions go back even further. Monotheism was a relatively late idea compared to other earlier religions.

    just as well you didn't.

from animism to polytheism to monotheism, each one has held the "truth". the fact that christianity is merely an offshoot of judaism is lost on most modern day christians. as is the fact that each religion has historically stolen the best and most popular bits and pieces of its predecessors.

each time we have gone through a major change in religious attitude we have decreased the number of gods and lost some of the joy of "just being alive".

now we seem to have a new sheriff in town, the religion of science. finally they have reduced the number of deities to zero and in the process they have destroyed the last of the magic in living. this is called progress. soon we must place our faith in test tubes and theories, soon we will be jaded at birth.

shit, i've just depressed myself and, at the same time given a good reason to keep religion alive. so let's get to it boys and girls, let's reverse this cycle to oblivion and bring back animism. i'm willing to make the sacrifice. are you?

i'm sorry but i've just got to ask "which one's pink?"

OK I know you are just kidding but...

Comparing science and faith is like Apples and Oranges. Science needs evidence - faith does not. LOL - Like you don't know this already.

The "Magic" of living is made fully available to me through understanding, knowledge and elightenment - some call it Biology

I think you missed my whole point. I'll repeat it. FUCK RELIGION!!!

Are you trying to tell me that there was religion before Adam?
I got tired of replying to all these unbelieving threads, but yours was comical so it caught my attention.

what he is sayiong is if we look at ACTUAL history then we see that there was evidence of other religions before judaism/christianity/wtfe ever came into existance, christianity was created by man as was every other religion.
and again pts and anybody else that wants to argue, go make your own thread as this one is for the green man.

on a different note, i believe the greenman isnt really a god at all, but more of a personification of nature

Pan is NOT the Green Man. Pan is the son of Hermes in greek mythology. And the Green man represents the Celtic God. I'm sorry if this was already cleared up, I didn't read all of the replies.
