    the green man

well, ive decided to adopt a religion.
ive looked at a lot of things, christianity, catholicism, judaism, hinduism.... well, a lot of stuff, but most of it either smells like a load of bullshit or doesnt appeal to me (no offense to anyone)
ive decided on a pagan religion, simply because some of them deal with what i love most: plants.
ive gone to a lot of sites trying to find which pagan religion the green man belongs in but havent really found anything, just a lot of merchandise and crap.
while i may not neccessarily believe in a god, i believe that the green man would simply be the embodiment of plant life itself, which i think sounds nice.
i would appreciate it if somebody could direct me to some books about the green man or whatever god/ess deals with nature in the pagan theology, it doesnt have to be the green man, but he seems to be the god of plants.

apparently, the green man is a recent name and it is possible that it might actually be cernunnos, the horned celtic god of the wild. the christian religion adopted cernunnos' look and gave it the name "satan" to represent all evil.
cernunnos may be the father god of the wiccan beliefs. although by father god they do not mean creator god, but father god while aradia is the mother god and the creator of them is simply known as "the one"

I don't mean to bust your bubble but God is the Green Man. He's the one with the green thumb. :greenthumb:
He's the one who made the garden. He planted the seeds for us to eat. Every seed comes from its parent. We are of him.

that is your belief, you hold it as truth but in reality, it is a belief that is unfounded. technically, according to your faith you have just blasphemed against your god.
the green man was around long before christianity or even judaism was created and is a pagan diety.

What you fail to realize is that christianity was around long before Christ. :bong:

it was known as judaism and those of the jewish faith do not recognize jesus as the messiah, only a man. :bong:
paganism predates history, while your religion claims that everything has been recorded since the beginning of time in the bible, starting with adam and eve.

"it was known as judaism and those of the jewish faith do not recognize jesus as the messiah, only a man."

Jesus is the Spirit so anyone with his Spirit knows him. He revealed himself in the garden of Eden to Adam and Eve when he made them coats of skins. They had tried to cover themselves with their own works but it took blood shed to get the coats of skin. God revealed salvation to them. Christians believe in Christ. Christ is from the beginning. What religion goes back that far?

    Adam was a christian.
Jesus is the Son of God.
