You don't need a screen... just put the bigger pieces of broken up weed in the bottom, and the finer stuff on top.

Yeah screens are a waste...I wish I didn't bother paying 5$ for 3 glass screens. I mean, any bit of weed that can get sucked down that hole so easily wasn't enough to make a difference.

the point of buying a glass pipe is the taste factor. using a screen completely defeats the purpose of a glass pipe IMO. if you pack it in there, its not going to go in there. it's like a funnel. try putting weed through a funnel. it doesn't work unless you have some MAJOR suction.

i use a metal screen on my bong (because the bowl is big, has a fairly large hole, and i tend to suck really hard when taking bong hits, pulling some weed through without a screen). i dont use them on my pipe, i find them pretty useless unless you are always pulling weed through the hole into your mouth.

I don't like screens at all on glass bowls, or even some metal bowls, although I rarely use them.

They made the smoke taste eugh, and if you torch too long, you'll get a bad res hit.
