really it is hard to say because do you go on stage prescence or singing ability or songwriting or what. i dont know. my list is pretty basd all i can say is whoever it is it sure as hell isnt a frontwoman. i also love neil young and am sure he puts on a great show but cant see him getting the crowd as pumped as the rest. and ozzy needs to be mentioned too but the guy really has a weak voice, and i like ozzy. and bon scott. any video i have seen of him he is crazy. and this old burnout loser who i work with told me he saw them play back in the seventies with bon scott and he ran out and screamed hey hows the acid, then put on a hell of a show. too hard to choose really, but whoever it is he has a pair of testicles

My favorite frontman now is randy blythe. kicks major ass. as far as best ever in my opinion id have to probably say in the old days, axl, phil anselmo, serj tankian, to name a few. jason newsted was crazy as fuck, not a frontman though, but really metal.
