Watch yourself...
I've heard of rare genetics going at auction for $100 PER SEED... $1000 US for a pack of 10...one of Subcool's crazy creations... you can get his stuff at cannaseur.com for really much more reasonable prices.
But in general just because it's expensive doesn't make it good necessarily.
Do some research into the genetics and see if it has anything in its recent background that people have been raving over. Just my advice, take it or leave it, but one of the most beautiful plants I ever grew was a simple Aghani cross that my friend gave me seeds of... Afghan x varieties are going for about $10-$15 USD at seedboutique for a pack of 10.
