Where do conservative Christians go from here?
I was not sure if I should put this in politics or religion...Can it go in both?
Even though I do not agree with all of this article a lot of it makes sense. I would like to hear others views. *Attention:Psycho, Torog and Ozark I am really interested on your opinion here please.
If God is on the side of conservative Christians and conservative Christians are on the side of the Republican Party, shouldn't Republicans have done better in the recent election? It's difficult to keep a coalition together â?? Christian or not â?? if 12 percent of your base votes for Democrats.
But defeat offers conservative Christians a good opportunity to take stock. They should ask themselves whether their short list of "moral issues" and "family values" has any hope of being imposed on Washington, as culture continues to resist the approach many of them have taken. Could conservative Christians withstand another approach, one that reflects a more biblical strategy? click below to read the rest
**** I really like this statement from the article: Politics often dulls the senses to morality and "values." That's because of an unholy alliance between people of faith and politicians that often ends in compromise on the part of the faithful and the cynical harvesting of their votes with little offered in return.
*****this is good too: Conservative Christians are fond of quoting God: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord" (Isaiah 55:8). Could it be that the way of politics is man's way and, thus, not God's way?

I am looking forward to your thoughts.

Don't you realize that God has been far too busy worrying about the Muslim hordes to be concerned with American politics It's either that or God was punishing the GOP for having a...a.....a .it's such a vile word I don't want to say it...but, here goes....a.....homosexual(whispered) in their ranks.
HAHAHAHA Fengzi did you see Lewis Black the other night on the Daily Show?
He was talking about the latest GOP BS on the Happy Feet movie....
Black said; Just how homophobic does a person have to be to have "Penguin Gaydar" hahahaha that is so funny, I love it.
****Daima is that from a song or did you write it? It's really good. I like it!

I have some great photos that i just might post of Todd and I at the last bluegrass festival here in San Francisco. www.hardlystrictlybluegrass.com
He was homeless here for a while, and then he just decided to get his shit together one day.
I have played with him, and i also made a living playing music.
Todd was just on the Jay Leno show recently, and David Letterman.
He's on tour, and i'm retired, but still teaching music here in San Francisco.
peace,

Where do conservative Christians go from here?
Hey daima, I went to a peace protest in NYC a couple years ago and heard the some of the best music. There was this one lady named Mary Prankster. She doesn't tour anymore but she was a kind of cult hero in NY. I thought I'd share one of her songs if you are offended by the F word then you might want to skip it...she has more songs on her myspace and she has a website.
Download Mercyfuck.mp3
then this is niles and edo you might like them....this is a really cool protest songI hope you enjoy them.
