    Smokers chest pains?

I was just wondering if a person smokes and has chest pains is it just as bad as a person that doesn't smoke and has them? I'm wondering because with me it could be something like bronchitis but I read some where that if you have chest pains it's an "emergency". Well if it's not really hurting but it's just a little annoying..thing that's there and you smoke is it just something that I have to deal with because of what I do or what? Also is there anyone else that is like me? I know, I know I need to go to a doctor and one day I will. But I'm so shaken up by just the thought of the doctor telling me something like I have "lung cancer" or something. It doesn't hurt on the left or right side, it's just in the center. It doesn't really bother me enough to worry but obviously it's a concern because I made a thread about it .

i think it's strange how people put off going to the doctor because of being worried about something like cancer...but the longer you put it off, the higher the chance is that the ailment won't be curable anymore. think about it.

Yeah. I mean I never smoked anything but a black n mild when it came to smokin tobacco and that wasn't that long. The only thing that I can think of that might have caused this is a long time ago when I couldn't get papers or blunts I used computer paper and notebook paper. Of course I didn't inhale the ink. I mean one time I remember I used a piece of gum paper and it burned..yellow ashes. I think it was because of the trademark printing on it. I dunno man I know I should go but even if I do and they tell me I have some type of cancer it's not like they can do anything but remove a lung if it's infected. And when they do that then what? Then I'll only have one lung...I dunno..I don't mean to keep making threads about this but I'm just really confused on what to do.

make getting a vaporizer a priority.
Don\'t smoke cannabis to relieve anger, but rather as a reward for working soberly through anger.

Life is too entertaining for higher powers not to be watching closely.

A rule really only needs to be followed by those who do not know why it is a rule.

Maybe...Also I think I might figure out why I have chest pains or why I feel like my ribs are fucked up. I remember now one time when I was young I was swinging on monkey bars. I swung upwards and fell down directly on my side. I swear I was gasping for air and I thought it was all gonna end right there. It felt like I had cotton or somethin stuffed in the passage to my lungs because I was just pulling so hard for air. When I finally got it back I guess I was o.k. but I think that has something to do with my pains and shit.

I swear Orangeman, I'm going to be uttering these words to you on my deathbed: "Go to the doctor." Notice I said "my deathbed" and not yours.

Here's the thing about your either having serious heart disease or lung cancer. First, you don't. Second, if you did, you would long since have been either lying somewhere in a cardiac care unit or dead. This is why I know you don't have either condition. Seriously, lung cancer is aggressive and fast-moving. You're only 16 and you didn't smoke long enough to have that. But if you did, trust me. In the 6- or 7-month time period we've been discussing your chest pains, your lung cancer, assuming you were still alive at all, would have progressed so far that you would no longer be sitting at home typing a post on an Internet cannabis forum. And frankly, if your chest pain were dangerous and heart-related, you also would have given in and gone to the doctor or emergency room.

I still maintain that you have a very vivid imagination, are experiencing some anxiety-related chest pain, are spending too much time isolated and alone, and are likely eating an unhealthy diet. You may also have asthma, which can cause chest pains and tightness, or a slight lung inflammation/infection of some kind, but bronchitis or pneumonia tend to get worse without treatment and get your notice real fast and send you to the doctor, too.

Remember that doctors can be very helpful at helping folks prevent disease, especially when you see them early enough. This is why people go for regular checkups, you know? So they doc can check them for routine stuff and catch it before it becomes a problem. You need to go and have a checkup so you can stop worrying about this. But I'm sure I'll still be telling you this next December. . . and the next one after that.

Yeah, orangeman you always have something wrong with you, go see a doctor! I don't think you have anything serious enough to worry, then again my friend who recently died complained of dizzyness before he went to sleep and it turned out to be heart failure. Tell your doctor you smoke, have him run tests. My parents know I smoke, so I don't worry about the doctor telling them. It depends if you have a chill doctor or not I guess.

Ok fine I'm just gonna put everything aside and during the break I'm gonna make it a priority to go get a check up. I want to know why I have this pain and why it's so strange. It's like when I smoke I don't feel it, when I breath..even deeply, I don't feel it. But sometimes it just randomly comes up or when I'm doing push-ups I can feel it but that's about it. It's strange, I just wanna know what it is. I have to go...what ever I have avoiding the doctor isn't gonna make it go away and even if I do go the only thing they are doing is confirming what I already had in the first place if it's anything. I'm gonna go...
