Smokers chest pains?
I agree with Birdgirl. Diet and exercise. Down the chest center is usually colon, when I've been seen by emergency while having those pains acutely, I have been diagnosed with ulcers, colonitis, spastic colon (and possible IBS), and acid reflux disease.
Yoga is a very effective exercise for all these problems.
And altho not intoxicating, eating a dose really helps to relax too.

The fact that you feel it when you're doing push-ups makes me wonder if it's just a sore muscle, Orangeman. Do you get it when you're doing other types of exercise? You're awfully young to be having digestive troubles like reflux or other things like that, but sometimes gallbladder disease hurts in the center of people's chests, too, but that's usually after meals.
