Regional Stereotypes (International Posters Please!)
People are people. It really shouldn't matter where you live. You cannot define someone by where they live. Its a huge generlization (sp?) to make judgements on someone based on where they live! I personally refuse to let stereotypes get in the way of my views people! I hate stereotypes and I allways will. By all means I am not saying this thread is suporting the use of stereotypes, but it is endorsing them....
potsmokingnome Reviewed by potsmokingnome on . Regional Stereotypes (International Posters Please!) So I was wondering what your regional stereotypes and predispositions are. Example: I live in Maine. We think that New Jersey is gross. We think that people in the southern states are raging lunatics. We think that Boston, MA is a party city. I'm very interested in what international posters have to say as well. :) Rating: 5

Oh, also anyone from up north lives solely on a diet of baked beans and broon sauce.
And the occasional stottie cake.

I'm from Northern Virginia, it's different than the rest of the state, so NoVAers think of the south as unsophiscated rednecks, and SoVAers think of NoVA as snobby, rude yuppies, which is true to an extent.

Big disclaimer, I love all you Northeast types equally, no matter how funny you talk, lol
I live in Massachusetts.
We think that Jersey is the garden state where nothing grows. And the turnpike is an ugly wasteland.
We think Connecticut is the most boring state in the 50, and that if you live there you're either filthy rich and boring, or you live in New Haven and have to spend your day dodging bullets.
People from Maine talk funny. And the only employment in the state is fishing for lobstah, or logging.
Vermonters are a bunch of wierd hippies and/or backwoods survivalists with advanced degrees and no electricity or running water.
They think we are a bunch of silly flatlanders who only go to VT to ski or pretend to fly-fish. And we have no idea how to train a rabbit dog.
Rhode Island... wait, where is that again? Oh yeah... Providence is there. great party town. But the rest of the state.... big mystery. Quahog, anyone?
New Yorkers are obnoxious and drive too fast and send their kids to college in Amherst with a $40,000 car that they got as a present for even getting accepted to college.
Sorry guys.
