Read up on how true Rastas, where dreads originated from, do their hair, and you will not find that they let their hair go unwashed for months on end. That is how cheap people do their dreads.

dude, dread locks did not originate from rastafarians. dreads came from cavemen and the first religion to incorporate it were the nagas.

btw, we are both right, redlocks posted a bunch of different methods for locking your hair. the neglect method (my style) has been around the longest

Instead of getting it chemically fucked with and stuff..get yourself a blow dryer and this thing.. http://www.ciao.co.uk/Vidal_Sassoon_VS184__6337955 ... I use it and it basically gives you waves in virtually minutes. the "Frizz" is easy to get, by back blowing your hair, or flipping your head upside down while blow drying it and brushing backwards. An even easier way to get frizz is to stop using any conditioning products on your hair, it'll eventually dry out and you'll have frizz. I wouldn't recommend that because dry hair is prone to breaking and is just plain unhealthy in the long run. I don't think he's in the process of dreading his hair though and I don't really understand why any of you guys would think that or why you'd start an arguement over it.

I've been wanting to dye my hair purple and orange and braid it all into a purple and orange swirl... Not cornrows tho, I think I'd look horrible...

by the way, there's about 5934835 different ways to dread hair, there's modern ways and there's older ways. Now there's tons of waxes to put in your hair to help dread it yet the old fashioned way still works fine if you do it right. It depends on how you do it and loose dreads arent always bad, some one out there likes loose dreads, just 'cause you don't doesn't mean you have the right to diss them.
Basically, grow up.
