Vaporizer Idea

I'm not sure if this will work so I am asking you guys. I had an idea during biology class for a vaporizer.
The way it would work is that i have this small beaker like the black/dark blue thing in the image

but it is glass and made out of pyrex. So I was thinking that I could put the bud
inside and in the bottom of the beaker and then put a balloon over the top of it
then i would put the whole thing on a stove that is turned on or i could use a lighter(im not sure if it will get hot enough tho)
Then the vapor from the bud would collect inside of the balloon and when .... the time is right or the balloon is filled i would inhale from the balloon
then put it back on and get more vapor
would this work or not??

prob. too hard to find correct temp. to actually create vapor . i think it'd wanna burn or act like a conduction vape n taste like shit .
