    New Growroom..

Hi all, well we're movin house in 10 days or so, and the spare room is goin to be used as a grow room, we've got a shopping list, and really just wondering if there's anything we've missed out on gettin set up? Any help is most appreciated. The area of the room we'll be using is about 9' x 9', may expand as we get more experience. Anyway the shopping list..

    4 x 600 lamps with grolux bulb
    1 x 4tube Brightwing Clonelamp (19,200 lumens)
    1 x RVK150 fan with ducting & Carbon filter
    1 x RVK125 with ducting for intake
Some Mylar for the walls, or would flat white walls work ?
    Thermometer
    Hydrometer
BioBizz Lite Mix Soil & maybe some extra perlite.
5 or 11 litre plant pots
Seeds !! Lowryders & Northern Lights.
    BioBizz Grow
Dr Hornbys BigBud or BioBizz Topmax
    BioBizz Algimix
    Superthrive
Now this is where i kinda get confused, priced up ph testing bits, then i read somewhere that you don't test the PH in soil grown plants, what do i do ??

yeh, you do pH soil plants.. or at least its better.. best get a tester, when you test soil its best to test the run-off too..

like, say you want a pH of 6.0 (just an example) and your soil run-off when you use water tested to 6.0ph turns out at say, 7.0ph, you need to down the pH of the water to 5.0ph, that way the water will lower the ph of the soil (and run-off) to 6.0ph... thats just common sense tho really

something you might need would be some type of blind... and some wood to box off the window, (if there is one) that way no light gets in or out, and it just looks like youve got the blind drawn if you do it right...

    hope that helps

Get some Biobizz bloom as well. Topmax on its own is no good. Flat white walls are good but mylar is better.

Otherwise, nice set up. Make sure you get a quality Ph tester because the cheaper ones are pretty inaccurate.

Hey Guys, thanks for the replies. Yeah we'd already decided to box off the window so no light gets in and so no one notices the light, just forgot to put it in , trying to think of everything The ph tester is about £40, so hope its decent. Can't wait to move and get it set up Will probably be mithering everyone for help lol, kinda wanna get it right and get some decent plants without too many mistakes, which i'm sure are bound to happen
I'll post some pics when we up and running. Funny really i don't even smoke the stuff, just him lol. The floor is laminate in what will be the growroom, do u think its best getting some white covering for the floor ?
