Confusing situation

So there is this girl that likes me and I like her. We have been hanging out lately and getting to know each other. She found out that I smoke pot and she wants me to quit. She says she doesn't want me to do it for her but to do it for myself and my health.

What do I do? I don't really want to quit and I don't feel like I need to quit. I really do like this girl and quitting wouldn't be a big deal.

dude, if she says that she doesnt want you to quit for her but for you and your health then that most likely means she wants you to quit for her. my suggestion is dont stop toking up and tell her you dont want to stop because there is almost no health hazards with it and if she doesnt want to be with you because you wont stop then be like" fine, theres more fish in the sea."

Gotta be honest with her about your desire to keep on smoking. It's up to you man, but don't have anyone tell you what you need to do for yourself. You have to realize it on your own.

This isn't an issue of control or trying to change you anymore.
This is about educating her.
Just explain to her (with the aid of the internet)
that pot is a VERY safe and healthy way of relaxing.

Also ask her (maybe before you talk about pots healthyness) if drinking alcohol is ok. Just to see how ignorant she is.

trust me dude, ive learned the hard way...be honest with urself

my gf told me to quit and we we dating for 2.5 years at the time....well i loved her and at the time i was stupid and just promised never to do it again....well i made it for so b4 i realized it was ridiculous of her to ask that of me and i smoked a few times...anyways i got caught up in the lie eventually and now we are going through a really hard break up

if i wouldve just been honest back then none of this wouldve happend...i mean, ya maybe she wouldve dumped me back then too if i said i couldnt make the promise..but at least i wouldve been an honest man

Well I've thought this over and I've decided to keep smoking unless we get serious. I plan to not smoke around her though.

People should like eachother for who you are. Pot smoking probably has an affect on who you are, any activity you participate does. When you stop smoking part of who you are will leave, and then she is dating someone who is different then she was originally interested in. She is perscribing her own downfall.

This is kind of funny because your basically saying to not take advice, this girl is advising him to stop because its bad for his health. Yet you are currently giving advice to him. your contradicting yourself in your own advice. lolz... just thought id point that out.

Anyways i kind of have the same problem, im into this girl, but shes really anti-drug, she hasnt asked me to quit but if i want to get with her i might have to. Im not sure, but this girl does mean wha the badger guy said (sorry forget ur name) she wants you to do it for her, but i think she wants that because she watches godamn above the influence commercials and worst of all BELIEVES THEM. Educate her, as in long term affects, and what you actually do when your stoned.
