    Need Cloning help bad!!!!!

Hey everyone its been a while since ive posted on this site but I really need some help. My clones keep dying no matter what I try, I had a humidity dome going in the basement and Im using rockwool cubes. I let the cubes soak in some water with about 3ml of thrive alive red cut my clones with a clean razor so there was two decent leaves and new growth left put in rootech for about 15 seconds and placed in the tray with a little bit of water in the bottom, im using a heating mat in my veg box under the tray with the dome. Flouros about three inches above the dome, every time I try it they droop way down and seem to die off in a matter of about 12 hours or so. ive tried without the mat with the mat ive tried plugs and rockwool nothing lives!!! Please I need help asap or im gonna be in some real trouble cuz I need the propagation part up and running soon. Any help is very appreciated thanks guys!!

hmm well it sounds like too much water to me. perhaps they just majorly wilt because of that, which makes you give up on them, thinking they're dead. i would suggest doing everything the same but get rid of the heating mat and get rid of the water in the bottom of the tray (still water ur cubes tho). if you don't think it is humid enuff in there for them, put a bowl of water in the dome with them. you should also be opening the dome to let them air out at least twice a day, for about 5 mins or so each time.

do you cut the shoots under water because that can be caused from a embolism
which are air bubbles in the vascular tissues of the plant.
they stop fluid from moving up the plant.

    thats probably what it is.

what are the temps inside box for sure, and for the mat? the heating mat is unessisary

you can make a great cloner with tupperware and some air stones. just poke holes in the top of the tupperware to stick the clones in. fill with good water and the bubbles will do the rest.

when they sprout some roots you can stick them in the rockwool

Hey, mike, where ya been?! :smokin:, huh?

I pretty much agree with her (ductch.lover). Maybe you are putting TOO much water on them...? Heating pad...how warm is it? Have you tested? Humidity...dome. Cut 2 small holes in the top. Keep misted...or humid (maybe with the bowl method).

I'm surprised you are having so much trouble. Get us some pics, man. that would help lots. Good luck anyway!

Hey everyone thanks for the responses so quickly I just stopped home on lunch I will put some pics up later when I get home. The temp in the box is 78 degrees right now and after looking at the clones again today I found what appears to be new growth for the first time ever so maybe removing the mat has helped. I drained the water out of the bottom of the tray last night and they are looking better already. Im still gon put up pics and look for suggestions thru the process. Thanks again!!!!

Ps GreenFog nice to see your still around, I have been way to busy to even touch the computer lately but thanks for throwing a post up for me, Im gon check in on your grow later 2nite.

    Heya,
Have you tried cloning with perlite in a wick cloner?

Have you tried using WiltPruf on your cuttings? You can get it easily this time of year since it is good for Christmas trees too.

I spray my mothers with Wilt Pruf twice before even taking the cuttings, letting them dry in between. Works like a charm... I use an ez cloner with no dome.

Also for lights... you are asking for trouble giving the little girlies that much light. All they want to do is make sugar if they are in the light. I use a single 70wHPS a good 18" above the cuttings.

I've seen this problem before actually, the guy I got my cloner from was using a NEw Wave T5 for his cuttings and it was just way too much light and they kept wilting, and he ended up having to put a dome over them even though with an aero cloner it should not be necessary.

In my cloning closet the humidity is actually REALLY low and between the wilt pruf, and the the dim light, it works.

Well anyhoo....That's all I can think of.

Ok well I got home and the three kids appear to be living still. They dont look to happy but they aint dead lol. I snapped some quick pictures so here they are. I had 6 purple indicas of some strain in my flower closet and today realized that 4 of the bastards either went hermie on me or got pollinated by the males I had to remove. They had the bananas growin out ofem and then i dug deep into some of the buds and found the beginnings of seeds so I cuttem seing as they were 3 weeks away from done anyway. Kinda sad about that so Im gon go burn some of my old ww. Thanks for any help you guys can give me with this cloning problem I really appreciate it.
