In my house smoking is cool but everyone knows that the kitchen is the preferred area because there's nothing upholstered in there to get all stanked up.
I think you should just, very seriously, and not to be a jerk, just ask her if it is really honestly the smell she objects to, or the fact that you smoke at all, or -"and please don't be mad honey"- whether she just feels that she is competing with the weed, or needs a little more control over the household. Because there are other ways to have control without being bossy, like taking on more responsiblities around the house and making OTHER important decisions.
Just my thoughts on the matter. Just booted my BF because damn it is MY house and he was breaking MY rules (like don't steal my shit and don't lie about your drinking).

I suggest also that you hint to her that a BETTER vaporizer would be a lovely Christmas present and a nice compromise, hint hint....

are there kids in the picture or something? because I can see where she would be coming from if that was the case. Other wise try and find out why she doesnt want you to smoke inside. Maybe you could come up with a rule like you'll smoke outside when shes home but you can smoke inside when shes not. This is assuming she has a good reason and shes just not being a bitch.

At the end of the day, she cant TELL you what to do, be your own man.
Tell her you will listen to her REQUEST and make a compramise. Dont smoke everywhere in the house, just chose one room... e.g bedroom, living room etc.
Stop letting some bitch boss you around, I bet you dont tell her to do stuff in the same context, like stop going out with her friends or whatever... something that is apart of her, like smoking cannabis is to you. Its not fair to expect that of a person when you knew it about them in the begining.
