that might be a possibility, i will pay better attention to that- but i don't think overwatering is causing the leaves to die like they are

It's leaves started yellowing eventually going totally brown and crispy and dropping off. The worst leaves appear to be the biggest fan leaves in the middle of the plants. We first thought deficiency (see Deficiency Eating Plant, in this forum), so we added more nutes- made it worse, so we flushed and backed off the nutes until now. We left them alone for only a day and came back to the leaves looking way worse than before. pH is Rating: 5
