there are a few things i wouldnt mind feeling however....

they are LST'ed otherwise they would have grown up and out the top knocking the glass and lights over, they are huge in person i did not think 2 cheese ball HPS lights would make such great big healthy plants but damn they are pretty.

and they better stop growing ill be forced to remove the glass and set the lamps on chains, which i dont want to do.

Hi invision - you're always showing me the love, by dropping by my thread, so I thought I'd drop by here and see how you're doing. I know how you feel about people actually posting. Except for you and a few others, I've had low outside posts, but lots of reads. I figure people must be interested, or the read count wouldn't keep going up. Plus I keep telling myself, this is a cannabis community ... you gotta think there's some lack of motivation out there. I often try to post before getting high, else my post probably won't make it.

Anyway .... on to my question for you. As Bree asked, I thought you were using LST. I know you confirmed that you were - but I though that LST would help prevent the height problems you seem to be struggling with now. As others have pointed out, both of your grows appear to be from someone much more experienced than you. Great work!

Oh, and I finally noticed that reflector - looks like it used to be a child's room trash can. Interesting concept.

yup that is a trash can cut in half and one is polished and the other mylared to see what diffrence it makes- to me they are the same.

its not the top of the plant that shot out of control it was the side shoots that took off like rockets when i transplanted them into the 12" pots, its amazing how they grow so fast in few week.

its funny though as mentioned earlier this is my 2nd attempt at growing, i guess i took to gardening very well and this was nothing but easy to me, i have barely invested alot of time into these plants i just look at them and if things look great i leave them alone unless its to water.

another reason i have it easy is the water i use which is distilled combined with cal-mag plus, the PH is always 7.0 infact i havent used my PH meter except last night when i started them on 10-50-10 at 1/4 strength and had to bring the PH to 6.5.

yes buying water sucks, its cheap at 0.68 a gallon but my other choices like tap water sucks here, so whats a grower to do.

my GF is pushing me into a 400watt hps kit after this grow she thinks its amazing how easily i produce herb without any effort except watering, plus i think she just wants to smoke more....shes a pothead!

LST (dumb) question - can't you just tie down those side shoots as well? I know little about the technique, but I thought one of it's primary goals was to limit height of the plant. If it doesn't do it completely, then I might want to look into scrog (that screen thing), since that appears to be pretty effective at limiting height.

I tried using the distilled water. Picking it up constantly got old. Then, I moved, and the water where I live now was actually pretty good. I believe it has a ppm of 150-160, and pH around 7. I usually try to lower the pH to about 5.5-6. I believe it was about .99/gallon for me. That's about $6 each reservoir change. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't smoke, so I have to keep an eye on costs. Last check, I think I was close to about $1500 outlay so far. That's great that your GF smokes. I wish I could get my wife to at least try it. However, I should be careful what I wish for - that could put increased demand on an already short supply.

yup i hear ya on that, when we first met she hated herb and took a few years for her to try it and the first time she got high she was hooked, she loooooves to smoke herb its awesome.

i cant tie the side shoots i just dont have room anymore but it think they have stopped growing.

they were maybe 8-10inches tall now they are 2 and a half feet tall holy damn,they grew a bit more but less than 1" during the dark period so i think they are done.......i hope....i really hope.

but they should produce some nice bud for me and the lady, 6 weeks left

oh wow. thats sweet. im on day 10 now. day 4 with the 1000 watt! im a newbie, so i dont know if i got females, i see pistols, and they were feminzied seeds from dutch passion. but i really dont know. one two, i belive i see a cola starting. ill keep ya updated. keep the pics coming of yours!
