Quitting Cannabis due to the Gritty/Sandy weed going around the UK.

For months and months now there has been this gritty weed going around England as all the regular street buyers and sellers will know.
Ive smoked alot of this (2/3/4/5 Oz...?? who knows!?) and have not been well at all recently. My lungs hurt real bad, I cant take deep breaths with out pain and a restriced feeling.
I did some research on this, and found out there is a high possibility its sillicone spray or something they put in when growing (as its all the way threw the bud, not just on the outside), which can seriously fuck you up and potentialy be life threatening.
Ive been smoking everyday (seriously, everyday) for about a year and a half, wether thats just 1 joint in the evening or an 8th in a day.
Now I feel I must stop as I cant get any other weed aprat from this contaminated SHIT thats possibly killing me. A couple of friends given up (for different reasons) and I decided to follow in their wise footsteps.
Ive got over a Quater of the weed right next to me, and its so hard to not smoke it but its worth throwing in the fucking bin I believe.
so I decided to quit untill I can get my hands on cannabis without this grit, that could be a week or it could be a year... who knows!? It will only stop being sold when people stop buying.... and people arnt going to stop buying untill people start DIEING!
I thought id post this on here, just for the sake of it... I hope I can not smoke, I really must resist smoking this shit.

I advise if you are buying this stuff, STOP.

Ive got lights and everything needed to grow, and have grown in the past. The thing is a Rent my house (meaning someone else owns it, we just live here and pay monthly) so they do checks every 6 months. Obviously this makes growing difficult. Also im having a new window put in my room, so we have people comming and going, so we cant grow safly for another few months.

Im kinda looking forward to not smoking for a while, get a clear head and my lazy life style sorted out. Also when i start up again, im gonna get blazed to fuck as i wont have a high tolerence.
On the other hand, im propper gutted... I <3 cannabis so much, its just perfect to end the day and get my thought together.

There has been odd bits of green around that hasnt been contaminated with this, and I always buy up as soon as I know where its at but over the last 2 or 3 months, its been constantly this gritty stuff. I know a few of people who retail LARGE amounts (bars, kielos+) and they all have the same, so you cant expect the small timers (oz and bars) to have any different stuff.
I blame it on the crack down. They should be cracking down on the hardcore drugs, not the drug that has no recorded deaths threw out the whole world. Seems kinda stupid if you ask me... but hey, thats the goverment for you!

sorry to hear about all the shit weed that is going about have seen plenty,but wont buy it,its sand or glass that is put on the weed after the thc has been shaken off.this weed has been going round scince about october time and from what i have heard nothing is going to change untill late january.try and get your own grow together,if not try to get to know some growers you will always get clean weed.there are some very nice bits of hash about and some very potent clean green,but the prices have raised and the amounts are only for close friends,these are just some af the advantages of growing knowing growers,and having good friends who always will help each other out.if nobody bought that shit contaminated weed it wouldnt be on the streets.well good luck in finding yourself a good smoke for christmas.:jointsmile:

I already said about the growing situation.
Also this sandy shit is ALL the threw the bud, not just on the outside so i think its done during the growing process.
I know plenty of people who retail it, but they all have the same shit, or slightly different shit with the same sandy/gritty shit on it.

Remeber i said i had a quater sitting right next to me in the top post??
I did go TWO DAYS without smoking anything! (lol.. 2 days is nothing, but I feel thats a very very very long time for me.)
Basicly, with some small buds from the weed i hate, i decided i would mess about with them... normaly i would commit suicide before i did anything like this, but im very intreeged about this sandy bud.
I took 4 or 5 small bit of bud, and put them in a glass filled with water about half way up. I then stired it for about 4 or 5 mins, and let it settle. Now, obviously my bud got soaking fucking wet, but alll the sandy/gritty shit sunk to the bottom of the glass, leaving my bud floating at the top.
I took my bud out, dryed it out last night on some tinfoil on my computer and its bone dry now. Its still alittle gritty but not much at all, and its lot all its size and smell... but I dont give 2 fucks. Im gonna smoke and see if i actually get stoned.

The sandy stuff is REALLY horrible. As posters above have said, it causes quite a lot of physical pain. Weed should not do that. If you must buy weed from street dealers, simply do not accept the sand. We have to send a message to whoever is doing it that we don't want to smoke this, and won't pay money for it. They'll have to stop making it then.
