Metal Grinders=metal alloy in your lungs.
its not ground into dust, its more like finely shredded like tobacco you see in cigarrettes.makes it smoke more efficiently and you dont have to use as much weed.
Ub3rB0ng Reviewed by Ub3rB0ng on . Metal Grinders=metal alloy in your lungs. I just wanted to do a sort of follow up on that kief grinder thread. The common spacecase metal 3 chamber grinders create mass amounts of friction when used. For all who own one, unscrew the middle chamber, and run your index finger across the main threading of the grinder. When I owned one, and did this ,a massive amount off aluminum shrapnel came off the threading . Mine was a 130$ spacecase grinder, I've seen low end 50$ kief catchers ,and can only imagine.. Not only do smoke organic buds Rating: 5

Question.
How would the metal get into your lungs? I understand that you're saying that there's little pieces of metal that flake off into your weed eventually, which may be true, but the temperature that you're burning the weed at doesn't actually burn the metal. I would think that if you don't get pieces of weed in your lungs, you wouldn't get any metal in them either. Logically, any metal grains would just not burn, and get flicked with the ashes.
I mean, I haven't done any experiments or anything...I'm just looking at it from a common sense point of view. If I missed something please point it out so that nobody reads my shit and gets a false sense of security.

I stopped reading this thread at one point but thanks kind bud for sharing a problem you've had in an effort to keep us fellow stoners in good health! I'm gonna check my grinder because I never paid for it, I'm assuming its relatively cheap. I also noticed that the aluminum coating is beginning to flake off from the friction on the outside, which may mean the inside is the same way.
Blaze on!

yea, i doubt either of you has or are getting legit spacecase grinders, they shouldnt be that expensive, nor that cheap, and spacecase is 100% CNC'd metal, if it can make it through that rigorous machining process id doubt theyd flake wen u were grindin some bud

I own a machine shop and metal is my life.
Rubbing two pieces of aluminum will NOT cause it to flake off. Technically it will but that is only in an industrial application (heavy load, lots of speed). Turning it by hand however will not have enough load (weight) or enough speed to cause damage to the metal.
The bud will act like a lubricant, kind of. The bud gets smashed/ground and the residue is on the piece. Regardless how dry your weed is, it contains "some" moisture and or oils. No worries.
If this were true, you can self destruct your grinder in a matter of hours. Just keep moving the parts together until the entire device decintegrates.

Nice Tony.
I got a spacecase. And ive never seen a flake of metal or anything come off it and ive had this thing for a long time.
I got keif all stuck in the cracks so even if they do 'rub' or whatever at least ill get keif flakes that have been compressed like 1000 times.

I paid $17 for a Chromium Crusher grinder online. It's made out of steel/zinc alloy. No shavings.
\"That\'s the only way you can solve the problem, with a paradox, man.\"
