Bah! to Fox farm Flowering nutes.
Has anyone here ever used the FF flowering nutes? There is, Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz and Cha-Ching. These three nutes are supposed to be used at different times during the flowering cycle, Open sesame at beginning of flower, Beastie bloomz during mid flower and Cha-ching to finish it off. Anyway, i'll cut to the chase. I was given free samples of all three of these nutes. My plant was already in mid/late flowering so i didnt use the Open Sesame. I gave it a dose of the Beastie blooms for one watering then plain water the next. The next feeding i gave it a dose of the Cha-ching. I noticed not to long after that, pretty severe nutrient burn. Leaf tips curling up in a complete circle...brown/crispy and crumbly when touched. Leaves yellowed and had brown spots all over them. What gets me is i used less that the recommended dosage. The label says to use 1/4 tsp per gallon of water. I used half of that... not very much at all. I always ph my water after nutes to 6.5. Im not really sure what caused this. Would not using the other two nutes have somthing to do with it? Or are these nutes crap? Or perhaps the plant (Haze x Skunk) is very sensitive to these types of nutes? I really have no idea. I figured the plant could handle it because they have been fed GH 3 part series at full strength since one week old. Any input on this would be greatly appreicated.

what was your total ppm after mixing your solution? I use FFBB and was fine until I pushed my PPM to 1400. Fried the shit out of the girls. Backed it off to 1150 and all is well again. It was not the fertilizer it was the fertilizerer if you know what I mean
Good news is my plants are growing again after a week and looks like they will finish OK. They will probably yeild less than they would have but live and learn.
Is this your first time with this strain?
Good luck ,JayGood weed comes from happy plants..and happy plants come from CALIFORNIA

Did you cut the three part down?? You should of cut your 3 part down to where the FF added would bring the PPM to the same level as it was with the three part. If you didn't that is probably why you burned them.
Example, PPM before FF with the 3 part, 1500, should have dropped the 3 part down to 1300 and then added the FF at 200 PPM to bring you back up to the 1500. I know in my case the Skunk number 1 are big eaters, always out eat anything I have going with them, but I have herd that the H is very picky, kind of like the Blue Barry.
Well, keep your head up.
Adieu

Really dont know what my PPM is, im in soil and dont have a PPM meter. As for dropping the 3 Part, this could be the case... i didnt drop anything. But then again the first time i gave it the FF nutes, it was fed to the plant solo... no other nutes. Should i invest in a ppm meter? If so, can you recommend one that works very well and wont break the bank? Calijay, this is my first experience with this strain, as it is my first grow

if your using flouros you may always have a problem with nutrients at full strength the amount of light a plant receives does affect how much nutrients it can uptake and you dont need a ppm meter for a soil grow.
