    Their religion is extremely sexist, not to mention racist...until about 25 years ago, black men could not be ordained as Mormon priests.

    It's a fucking cult, indeed...one that terrifies me nearly as much as Islam.
    Islam is like the same as Christianity...I guess they are all scary

    Mormonism...

    From what i understand;
    Joseph Smith joined freemasonry sometime in the 1830's. He subsequently "borrowed" some of the procedures and applied them to the endowment ceremony. For example, the oath taken which states that if the person taking the oath reveals any of that information to any one else, they would suffer no less penalty than death...
    This was revised as of 1990. Also part of the revision, women would have to swear total obedience to their husbands and the men would swear total obedience to God and to the brethren.

    Were you at all familiar with any or all of the doctrines i posted previously. I spoke to a woman who was actually at the LDS church near my house. She confirmed for me pretty much all of them except the one about dark skin. Maybe because that was abandoned in 1978. She also seemed surprised that i knew all of this as an outsider. She was happy to talk with me nonetheless and i was sure to remain respectfull, after all, nobody likes to be ridiculed for their beliefs.

    Are your parents still mormon? Have you ever asked them anything about it recently?

    Right on w/ your Freemasonry info...
    There's mormon kids that go door to door that I tried telling this to, maybe next time i'll let them talk first (so i can get my point across, LOL)

    Also, during the procedures during the endowment ceremony, ALL the participants wear the fig leaf, representing respect for the serpent for giving wisdom!!

    RELIGION IS THE CAUSE OF SO MUCH HATRED IN THE WORLD-- THE WORDS IN ALL TEXTS PROMOTE INJUSTICE TO OTHERS -- and Christianity promotes WAYYYY more hatred than Islam (to whoever said islam scares them)

    Yeah, they both still are. I went to church with my mom today for the Christmas program actually (She made me, I'm only 17 lol). I forgot how weird it actually was. I havent asked them about it in maybe 10 years though. Just kinda lost interest I guess

    they dont make you go more regularly? Usually Mormons strongly encourage the family to go together. Are you parents more lax? What was weird about the recent service?

    Mormonism...

    They used to make me go every week, but I pretty much just told them how I felt about it and they just said it was my choice. So yeah, they're not very devout, but they're devout enough I guess. Everyone always cries all the time at meetings and it's just a really uncomfortable time for an hour and a half. Today I was just really baked and at every meeting they pass around a sacrament of bread and water (which I stopped taking because it's pretty much a promise to god that you'll be good the next week) and I just stared at all the little cups of water for a long time when it got to me and everyone was staring at me. I just sorta laughed and passed it to the next person when I noticed.
