nice man what strain is it and what lights are you using

the sprout is either, speedqueen, hashberry or a freebie sagamartha variety that seedbay included with my order. I germinated two from each and took the first 5 to sprout planted them in the rockwool and crossed my fingers. Original germination started on the 6th of this month. it first sprouted yesterday morning, seems that they really enjoy the room i've created for them. I'm hoping the other 4 sprout within the next couple days so they can catch up to this one.

For the lights I'm using 4 florecent lights that i got from walmart for about 10 each. I have two on top and one on either side of the box. once they all start to grow i'll be shifting the lights around to prevent stretching and ensure the lower levels of the plants get enough light.

Just wondering, you don't have problems with all that salt and hard water deposits (white shit around your pots)?

Everywhere I've read that you gotta clean that shit up and when I did DWC I cleaned it all (lotsa work).

If you are getting good results then maybe we can dispel another cannabis growing myth.

i normally use distilled water, in a pinch i've used tap water that i'll put into a gallon jug and let sit for a few days. the first grow didn't seem to mind to much. i think it depends on the tap water in your area, around here most of our water is fed from natural springs. even on the plants i had outside i used the water straight from the tap and they did good. I wouldn't call it a myth just that maybe i got lucky with our water supply here. i'll post some more pics in a day or two on this thread to keep everyone updated on the grow
