sexism is a whole other debate
'imagine' has ideas that seem like a utopia, but unfortunately will never happen. i alway think of an incident when i was a little kid. me and my brother were outside my old house, and one of our friends walked up and wanted to go whereever we were headed too. i told him, he asked why, couldnt think of anything, so i said cause he was brown(lol brown). my mom heard me from inside, and i learned better from that.
respect a person's right to live. the KKK can hate all they want, but they dont gotta make someone's life miserable. the color of ones skin does not dictate superiority.

I grew up around all kinds of different races. My husband on the other hand grew up in a small town called Grundy Va there are no blacks, asians, hispanics, nothing but white people and most of them raceist. He had never had a friend of a different race until he moved down to NC. Im just amazed at how there are some places in America who still believe that were in the 50's. When I was living with my parents we moved to a town that neighbored Grundy and I was shocked to see only 3 mixed kids in the whole school. I hated it there and was put down for my views on the subject of race. I couldnt understand how you can not like someone because they are a different color. I mean its just a color, thats it, apples are different colors cars are different colors cat, dog, everythins, is a differnt color. If you peel off the layer of skin were all the same. How can someone be so ingnorant about something they are so passionate about?

I was nearly mugged outside my own home by two marrocans who followed me home. =/ I looked at them from across the street for like 1 second and then they try and jack me... Anyway, they were like: "Why are you fish eyeing me blad?" (:rollseyes
I said i wasn't. They said we don't like Americans and if i wanted a punch in the face." I said I didn't want a punch in the face and said i was canadian
So, i didn't wanna let those fools know where i live so i ran across the street unexpectadly next to some old man and started walkin with him for like a sec and then they just left.. That was years ago and I told that story because they didn't like my race because i'm half american and half english i could've nearly gotten jacked and banged up.. But, i didn't. Technically, i don't find cracker or honkey offensive but it shouldn't matter what the word sounds like or looks like, you should only take into account the actual meaning. It's derogatory and lets face it, racist.

An australian male called me a "Slanty eyed slope" in anger once. and although it was more funny to me than offensive. i snapped him in the face. i can still remember the sound of my knuckles cracking against his cheek bone. he didn't have any racials slurs to say after that.
i know violence is definitely not the right way to handle racism, but i've been in a few pub brawls in the past so i know i can handle myself, and the adrenaline rush is almost better than weed.
that memory stands out the most to me, because i was 19 at the time and the australian male in question was in his 30's. it was david and goliath i tells ya!

The only brunt racism I ever gotten was being called a "wetback" by some idiot. The funny thing about it is I'm half-asian/half-white so I laughed it off.
I don't encounter direct racism, but I notice a few look at me with distain, not by whites so much, but by asians. Guess they don't like my tall height and white features.
But I believe the only way to fight racism is to laugh at it. It's ridiculous people actually hold hateful feelings because of a certain group of people.Happiness only real when shared

firstly wtf is a wetback? the only time ive ever heard that was in the movie Pulp Fiction, had no idea what it meant???
also i used to go to a jewish school, our uniform was very distinctive down to the Kippa's (skull caps) we had to wear, there was this lady who lived in the area, whenever we passed her on the streets shed always shudder, as if it was bad luck for a jew to cross her path, so yeah i know how you feel about the looks of disdain you get....

Wetback is racial slur for latino. Some people mistaken my mix for being latino, it's funny at times.
