Isn't it obvious? You said the plant was almost dead so that should be a clue that the blacklight does NOT work. The only thing a I've ever heard a blacklight being good for was late in flowering, supposedly increasing the UV spectum to encourage more trichomes. Even this is just a theory and not proven to work.

Use flourescents if you can't afford a HID.

Lighting Questions... ok, my sis gave me a plant for chritmas... she was using a black light to grow it... they are just sprouting.... anyways, when she gave it to me, it looked for the most part DEAD... anyways... i gave it some water, and set it under my light(its not a grow light... but will hopefuly keep it alive long enuf to go get a better light)... anyways, shes still claiming that a black light will work... but from the 2 people ive asked, say that a black light wont work... and she still claims it will Rating: 5
