This thread is so ridiculous because the original poster has stated numerous times that the ball does not connect with the feet. Even though on every change of possesion minus a turnover you use your FOOT to deliver the ball to the opposing team. 98% of teams run the ball more than they throw it, and the kicker is usually the leading scorer on the team. All reasons why throwball is a stupid, ignorant statement. The ball is oblong so you can chuck it 60 yards downfield to a wide receiver who makes an acrobatic catch in the endzone in the last seconds of the game to seal a victory for his team. Unlike in soccer where it takes cricket-esque lengths of time to score a goal. Football is interesting because there are so many ways to score, it's just better in every way, just like America.

i like both footballs and think people need to stop putting so much stock in labels. that is all, absolutely all they have in common, pretend like they are called different things. please dont say football players are just musclebound freaks with no talent. and if you are, please dont say lung capacity and endurance takes more talent than strength, neither take talent, both take effort. as for the sports, both take talent and effort. just let it go, soccer is more popular in europe football is more popular here. neither side is going to convince the other. so just get along and make peace.

First of all SARCASM children, learn it, live, love it, it comes in handy when you need to pull out that certain personality trait you have smoked into non-existence; a sense of humor.

Second I was not comparing the two sports(save the cricket-esque statement). I was simply stating facts that needed to be presented to the argument.

For a bunch of stoners you don't take sarcasm well and have an under-developed sense of humor.
