How can Americans claim to use the term 'Football' for thier version of Rugby? The ball (hell, its not even a ball, its a 'thing') is not even kicked!!!!

The term has been around for a very long time, several generations. That is like americans saying the name rugby is entirly wrong because a rug is something on the floor and by is a linking verb. When you have nothing to do with the name, it too has been around for several generations.

Who knows, plus I don't really care. Debating over different sports and people rioting over primates kicking a ball in a net is just so...outdated. Haven't we evoloved to intelligent beings, who surely can find a form of entertainment rather than kicking or hitting an object around?

I agree with what you're saying. Why do the US call Euro. football, soccer? What the hell does soccer mean?! Makes more sense to call it football.

US football, like NFL stuff, is a mix between rugby and football (soccer), so it should be called Ruccer.
