The fear and paranoia are the reasons for the grenade. The more fear there is, the better the odds of finding your relationship closer to the grenade.

I know of plenty of paramilitary survivalists, and Christian religious fanatics accumulating that stuff (think Waco) who have nothing to do with Muslims, Jihad, or Islam. (well, now they do because they have some other excuse to be afraid, and another obsession to fret over.)

I think it's about a tossup, a radical muslim behind you with (pick one, gun, knife, bomb), or a radical conservative besides you with his hand on your freedom, and the freedom of your children! This generation will be judged by our great Grandchildren, If we give away all our freedoms (Patrion act, etc,) Then we will be judged as the generation to let a dictatorship unfold, unfold by starting with the mostly plutocratic govt. we have now, and watching our freedoms slip away, one purported terrorist act at a time. There is need for strong oversight in our government at present. Look, we are the baddest military might in the world. It takes 25-50 percent of our budget. to keep the war machine humming. We can cut that by 75% and still have the baddest military on the planet. Is there some tidbit of rationality missing here? With the savings, we could re-build Americas Infrastructure, take care of out citizenry, and pay off that enormous national Debt the "conservatives" have given us! Thank God Bush is a conservative, think of how high the debt would be if he wasn't!
