yeah, I think 500,000 sounds good daily. My friend got arrested the other day for 15g. Thankfully it wasn't a month ago because the laws just changed here. Unger 25g is only a civil citation, my friend only had 15g.

500,001 for today, my freind got busted last night. He didn't get arrested due to cannabis but getting piss drunk,trying to start fights at the bar, then thought it was a good idea to kick a cop car and get tossed in the drunk tank. He smokes weed though so he would count as a cannabis user. Even though i hate when drunk people do stupid things it makes for some great entertainment

The weed must be very good and you must be very bored to start thinking about the innocents that get busted for weed everyday. What is important to me is that it is not me getting busted for weed anymore. {I'm legal}
What do you want to bet it is a much smaller number of people getting busted for weed now a days than maybe 25 years ago.

Well, it can't be that hard to calculate, can it? According to NORML, there were 785,545 marijuana arrests in the US in 2005. Divide by 365, and we get a total of 2,155 marijuana arrests per day in the US. Now, in the US marijuana is particularly popular, and our government is abnormally harsh on marijuana, plus there are far more arrests here than any other country in the world, so we should expect the rate to be lower elsewhere. Assuming that the rest of the world makes marijuana arrests at about two-thirds the rate of the US, we get an estimate of 32,094 arrests throughout the world on a given day.
