Lost in the PH/Nutrient feeding.
12/08/06
1. Feeding mature plants with a nutrient/water PH reading of 6.3 I'm measing a run-off solution for PH and it is most always lower, ie 5.8-6.1 is this normal ? Also....I hv been adjusting the water PH to 6.3 before adding the nutrients soooo guess what??? after adding the nutrients i take another reading and usually its lower so I hv been adjusting it back to the correct 6.3. Is this correct? or should I just adjust PH after nutrients are added? Sure would appreciate some pointers n I thnx u. Phil

Lost in the PH/Nutrient feeding.
I'd try to only adjust it once--make it the last thing you do. You'll use less ph up/down which is better for your plants.

Lost in the PH/Nutrient feeding.
Nutes sour the soil, make it more acidy. Hence lower (more acidic) PH.
