asked a lawyer friend the only ones that can tap a phone (even with the pat. act) are federal agents (FBI CIA NSA) local cops can't. and for them to do that there has to be at least a vague (or made up) federal crime. local laws are out of the jurisd. of the feds. But it still sounds a little fishy. throw a water baloon at it
noruth Reviewed by noruth on . can they do this? im not entirely sure, but i think my phone lines are tapped. i dont make many phone calls (i use the internet to set up stuff) but when i do call someone i eventually hear this funny ass noise, like a click kind of. last week they were doing some phone line work outside of my house and they installed a box that connects my phone line to the main phone line or w/e. this box is on no other poles nor anywhere that i have seen outside of people houses or anywhere else for that matter. can they tap Rating: 5
