    The Blues

The Blues; American as apple pie; American as, the blues...

Who here is a blues fan(atic)? It is personally my favorite genre of music to listen to and to play. It is moslty all I play as a guitarist, and 50% of what I listen to.

Some of my favorites are: Ledbelly, SRV, Albert King, John Lee Hooker, Muddy, Joe Bonamassa, Jimmy Reed, lightnin' Hopkins, etc., etc.

So who are your favorite artists? Songs? Do you play the blues if you do in fact play an instrument and what do you play?

I have a Fender Srat and a Taylor acoustic I use mostly for blues through my Peavey DB 210. The only effects I use are wah and a ts-9. I also have a Peavey wolfgang I run through a marshall cab with a line 6 head and a behringer floorboard, but I use this setup for live performances and metal mostly.

    The Blues

I got into the blues heavily after being introduced to it by Zeppelin, Yardbirds, Clapton, and others.

Howling Wolf's Sittin on top of the World (especially the London Sessions) is a fave of mine.

Of course, BB King is right up there among the giants.
