Important drug test questions......please help

I had a preemployment DOT drug test today. I stopped a week prior and drank alot of water, took vitamin B-2 for color and used xxtra clean about 3 hours before i actually got tested. It was also a complete physical for preemployment. The first thing they did was take a urine sample and used a strip of paper with different colors { for different drugs i assume } and dipped it in the urine right in front of me. The woman then put urine in 2 seperate containers, sealed it and put them in what i think was a refrigerator. Then i proceeded with the rest of the physical. My first question is would they have continued with the physical if i failed the strip test that was dipped? My second question is what are the 2 seperate containers of urine for that she put in the refrigerator after the strip test? Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

If they did an instant strip test in front of you, you would have known the results right there.

Did you leave your initials, or any other means of identification on the 2 containers that could verify that the sample came from your body?

Yes, they had me initial it. So is this a good sign or a bad sign? Are you saying if i failed the strip test they would have told me right then and there and not continued with the physical?

Your test couldnt have been a DOT test if they did a strip test in front of you.
Under DOT guidelines, no instant strip tests can be performed at the collection site. All DOT sample collections must be split in two vials, initialed, bagged, initialed again, and sent off to a lab for analysis. The only preliminary checks the collector can make is the temp check and looking for unusual sample color or bleach odor.
The DOT guidelines must be adhered to by employers, the collectors, & lab personnel or else the test results are deemed void.

Toast, this is what I was curious about. He did say it was signed or initialed but I was even more curious about the bag to see if COC was being followed on the samples. I would like to here more from this guy because it is possible he only had a drug test and no urine samples for medical testing. If COC was not followed maybe the samples are not going off to a lab for testing.

when I took my dot drug test they gave me what's called the long form and on the back of it they wrote if I had blood in my piss or some other medical problems.When I asked how they could tell if their was something wrong on the spot like that she said remember that strip I dipped in the cup that's what it's for. then I said to her [I was kinda fishing around at this point]I thought it was the actual drug test and she goes no we send those to a lab. and that was probably what the strip in your case was for as well.
