Nutes essential? Essential nutes?

long time smoker, first time grower. i ordered some seeds and while i'm waiting for em to come and planning a tight setup i thought i might try to germinate a few bag seeds i have and see what i can conjure up w/the cheapest, most stripped down, basic setup possible (something along the lines of bodom's rubbermaid thing). i know i'll need light, air & water, but how necessary are 'nutes' if i'm growing from soil? and if they are necessary what's the cheapest thing i can get that'll do the job? thanks in advance dudes ...

extremely. all nutes are extremely affordable, generally nothing costs more than ten bucks... i use mg all purpose for vegetables (24-8-16) for veg and green light's super bloom for flower, both found at lowe's. 6 bucks each. what kind of seeds did you decide on?

okay i was trippin cuz i was reading a thread where this really advanced guy recommended all these nutes and i looked em up and they were really expensive. and since you're the flirty & kind princess i'm sure you wouldn't mind honoring me w/your recs on how much and how often to use em? follow the directions on the package or? also, people, what's the consensus on how soon you should put the pot under light once you move seed from paper towel to dirt. right away? not until it sprouts?

i ordered original misty from homegrown-fantaseeds, which has an awesomely designed site you guys should check out. this based on a couple really good grow logs i read a while ago on some other site.

btw your going to always want to keep cannabis on a much lower concentration than what ferts. say to. (non cannabis ferts)

it's cuz it dosn't take strong nutes well. KP will help you out with the specifics. but dont do what every new person does.

Dont try to slam them with nutes, they wont grow any faster.
