Better High once coming off of Anti Depressants

I have been on Paxil since I was 13. I'm going to be 17 in 5 days. Well, anyway, on with my story. When I first started heavily smoking pot, I used to get these amazing highs, you know, since I was a beginner. Anyway, I've been a daily smoker for the whole year, so my tolerance is high, and I smoke grade-a marijuana now, so I still get high everyday, but no more of those vibrant highs.

Well, I used to have panic attacks, that's why I was on anti-depressants. That, and because my life sucked at the time (my dad died at the time, and was battling cancer, before that). Anyway, ever since smoking weed, I felt I didn't need my anti depressants, but I was afraid to come off of them, because even missing one dose of paxil, gives you terrible withdraw side effects. Anyway, I kept on taking my pills because that's what I had been doing for so long, and I was afraid of a life without them (afraid my panic attacks would return).

Anyway, Sunday was the last pill in the bottle, and I haven't had it refilled yet. I'm going through withdraw right now. Mainly having weird shocks, and deja vu like sensations every time I'm walking, as well as occasional stomach cramps, and occasional excessive salvation (sp).

Anyway, this morning, I was starting to feel real emotions. Not numbness. I felt alive, it felt strange, so I smoked my last bowl of Sour Diesel until I get more hopefully tonight. I got so much higher, and I'm blazed right now, because I decided to write about this experience before I forget it.

I'm getting my meds refilled today, because if I continue not taking them, I'll have three weeks of complete hell, but what I am going to do in the near future, is go to the doctor, and have her ween me off of it. I mean, I didn't have weed when I was prescribed paxil. Now that I have weed, and other drugs to make me feel amazing, as well as feeling amazing just being sober, I really don't need to rely on this fucking stupid pill every morning.

    Peace,

This is what I did when I quit Paxil. I don't recomend it for others, just it worked for me. Maybe a month after I quit paxil I tried for the first time using extacy. I feel that it really helped the depersion feeling to go away. It was like a large weight was lifted off my chest. I've only done it twice in my life but I think the effects where benificial.

quitting cold turkey on planned out prescriptions is not a good idea you should ween yourself off like less at a time

Yeah, I've heard that you have intense withdraw symptoms for 3 weeks if you quit cold turkey. My withdraw symptoms were getting pretty bad today, so luckily my prescription was refilled. This was more of a forced experiment. I was out of pills, so there really was nothing I could have done.

I did talk to my mom though, and after the new year, we will go see my doctor to have me weened off professionally.

Weird, I just stopped taking Zoloft after weening off of it, I'm still getting those weird shocks and deja vu type feelings, but I feel great. I got really high last night, and I got so high, it felt great plus I didn't have the usual in-my-head paranoia of anything and everything.

It's great being off the Z

You will still get withdrawal symptoms from being weened off. You just don't feel the full blown effect.

    Edit:
Depending on your dosage it could take 1-3 months to properly do it.

Yeah, but he said he just finished being weened off. Does it take time after that?

I don't know how he did it or how much time it took him to do it. But the last step is going from a very low dose to 0. So yes at the end you may have some feeling of withdrawal but nothing like just going cold turkey. If you can keep your mind occupied during this time it shouldn't really bother you too much.

I really have appreciated your advice the past few days Zimzum. Thanks.
